Well it certainly isn't clicking at the moment, so the return of Alonso, Agger and even Kewell can only help.

 

It's still a bit of a worry that our large squad couldn't cope with the absence of these players however, which I think is the main reason for the griping of late, but if we can get a good result against Everton, we should be quite capable of extending our long unbeaten run.

I think it is more to do with the fact that the likes of Gerrard and Carragher have seen a bit of a dip in form coincide with others being out through injury than the squad not being up to it in fairness (though I'd agree that we do look light of cover at centre back).
