We need our team to improvement their off the ball movement to stretch teams so torres can get that space!

 

So far Kuyt & Torres looks good, but even that is not the best partnership to get the most out of him imo, Torres & Benny?

Yep the service to him was very poor tonight and he wasn't very good either.

 

...and after tonight I can honestly say that his strike partner is one of the worst Liverpool strikers/players I can remember (like in the last ten years) I don't wanna see him in a Liverpool shirt again.

Well we had all four of our front-line strikers on the pitch tonight at one time or other, but unless the midfield can get the ball to them they will never score however good they are.

 

Sissoko and Leto had particularly awful games, but nobody seemed to be weighting the passes right on a slippery pitch. Our passing was so bad, I wondered if they were having problems with the ball - do they use a different kind of ball for Champions League?

The constant rotation is affecting service to him and the life is being sucked out of him by reserves & expensive misfits.

Torres was starved of the ball tonight, we hardly gave him a decent pass of note, and when he did go for the ball himself, he was surrounded by 3 of their players with no red shirts within 50 yards at times.

 

Strikers live off chances created by others, this guy is a goal scorer who can score in the box and by going at defenders.

 

He needs one major thing, THE BALL. Our midfield gave him nowt tonight and the only person who should be concerned is the manager, as it was the midfield he selected that gave nothing to our forwards.

F*ck me, the 1st caller to 606 tonight said we should drop Gerrard, now it's Torres we have to worry about.

 

Gerrard was fire-fighting all night to cover for Leto, Momo & Benny who were all shockingly inept. Torres is always at his best through the middle but was having to spin out wide while Crouch strolled around the park trying to look like a target man.

 

We need Stevie & Torres on the team every week until we regain our form. The same goes for another 6 or 7 with just 2 or 3 others alternating.
