Guest Snorky Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 I'm sure Jamie Redknapp was about to say that Owen is coming back before stopping and saying something else. I asked a work colleague if they felt the same, and he did. mmmmmmm.
kenny7 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Sure it wasn't he's coming back to sharpness, or fitness? Didn't here it mind.
Guest Snorky Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Liverpool was mentioned in the same sentance as 'coming back'. They all looked at each other sheepishly in the studio. Please tell me I was not imagining it.
kenny7 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Hmmm No doubt it'll be splashed all over the press tomorrow as an exclusive, hoping nobody pick up on what Redknapp said. If he does sign, hope it means we also get Tevez in, unlikely but I think he could make a big difference to our build up play, and how other teams would set up against us.
hels smicer Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 iam with you Kev more was said than should of been i liked it Thats the thing with Jay hes to open & honest
stressederic Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 The whole thing was a bit odd. I felt like I'd missed an early conversation because the way they were talking around Hoddle, and saying that the topic was "a bit naughty." It seemed like Hoddle didn't think people should be speculating/leaking info, whilst the rest wanted to discuss it.
CarraLegend Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Think your reading to much into it Kev. Dont think it was meant as Owen is coming back, just that they look alright together.
Guest paisley81 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 hairy hands was hinting more at Crouch joining Owen at Newcastle.
Earl Hafler Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 hairy hands was hinting more at Crouch joining Owen at Newcastle. He still thinks we're signing Amoroso, the knuckle dragging fool.
Flanders Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Owen for £9M if we get £7M for Bellamy is a great deal, I would still rather see us spend £20M+ and get Eto'o.
Tetti Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Oh God, missed it. Not that I care, as I'm over him, BUT WHAT EXACTLY DID HE SAY?
Knox_Harrington Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 The burning question has to be could Owen and Henry play together?
The_MC Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Think your reading to much into it Kev. Dont think it was meant as Owen is coming back, just that they look alright together. From what i recall, jay basically said owen probably wants to prove himself to the newcastle fans, but if they let him leave he would love to play in front of the Kop again.
Sion Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Kev you're not the only one http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26161
kenny7 Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Didn't Eto'o once say his wish was to play for Liverpool alongside Owen?

jon_hall Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Oh God, missed it. Not that I care, as I'm over him, BUT WHAT EXACTLY DID HE SAY? Aye as your signature points out
Cobs Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 The burning question has to be could Owen and Henry play together?you'll soon find out it's a done deal
stressederic Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Didn't Eto'o once say his wish was to play for Liverpool alongside Owen? I reckon he'd drive us crazy with his goals and passes.
