Saw an old interview of his this morning, conducted in English. It got me thinking...I seem to remember hearing/reading before that he taught himself English. Is this true? If it is then he did a pretty good job...I can't imagine trying to learn Italian on my own

I had a Greek girlfriend once, and she taught her self English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and summat else, mostly from Subtitled films and then going to the countries for a few months to really put it into use and context.

My mum speaks English, Filipino (our national language), Spanish, French, Italian, German and Dutch. Varying degrees of fluency of course, and she's rusty from lack of practice, but still!

 

I studied French for awhile a few years back, but I probably couldn't even ask for directions.

He really does have everything doesn't he? 8 European finals and 5 winners medals and the captaincy of the club he loves, a beautiful wife, good looks, no doubt a great big pot of cash, and he seems to be very intelligent too...

I don't know whether to be more jealous of him for his wife, or his wife for having him...
