Its all your f***ing fault for hating Inzaghi. God hates Steve H, because Steve H hates God so God loves Inzaghi. Simple. I suggest you feel ashamed.

Keep up...The Milan team that embarresed Man U in the semi's played awfully last night, it had nothing whatsoever to do with Benitez knowing how to stop them unlike the medias favourite Jock

yeah the fact that their passing was so sloppy was down to the tactical genius of Bentiez.

Next year maybe he'll work that tactical genius against us or everton ;)

On the Guardian website it is incredible the amount of people who have advocated that if United had played Milan last night they would be European Champions by now.

I love the idea that if you mark somebody out of the game, then somehow any favourable result your team may get is not legitimate as the player you dealt with was not allowed to perform to his full potential - apparantly.

It amazes me how Ferguson didnt get ripped to shreds for MAn u's performance in that semi as much as it amazes me now that we had nothing to do with them playing below par last night.

Even Ostrich Man deep down knows this

It's absolutely ludicrous, isn't it?

Like we were meant to just allow Kaka to do what he wanted to last night.

Yes indeed it was. By stopping the doing what they want to do, they are forced to try other things - which they execute far less effectively and therefore you get sloppy passing, errors, etc.

This sometimes works on Liverpool as well. You get the daft questions 'why has our passing gone to sh*t?' when the answer is obvious: the other team are making it hard for us!

Just imagine what damage Fletcher could have done last night

The Mail?s sports writer had an hilarious piece yesterday saying Liverpool should give Kaka the space to express himself for the sake of football.

I said it last night but in the first half especially, Milan had nowhere to go and began to get flustered and make mistakes. As soon as Mascherano went off, they had their only really decent chance and scored from it. Coincidence? Only a Manc would think so.

Ha ha - them bad Scousers, eh?

Moore, Hansen, Beckenbauer, Maldini etc = bloody spoilsports

Ive no doubt it played a part, but are you honestly telling me you thought them two were on top of their games last night....now im not as stupid to say if we'd played em last night we'd be Euro Champs, but the fact them two couldnt string a couple of passes together....christ at some points there were milan players standing beside them and they couldnt find them....

still when alls done and said.

theyre European Champions. Youre Not...nor are We.

For 44 mins, I would emphatically say, yes. Do you think the likes of Maldini and Nesta were nervous???? Or maybe they couldn't be arsed?

Posted
right so it was the nerves not liverpool's set up that made them s***.

agreed.

Not really sure who you have agreed with as nobody else has said their poor first half performance was down to nerves.

Again, do you genuinely believe that Maldini and Nesta are the type of players to get nervous? It's like arguing that Gordon Banks had nothing to do with Pele not scoring from his header in Guadalajara. Maybe Pele was suffering from nerves too?

Posted
pipnasty we could get bogged down in the hows and whys as to liverpools failure to pick up a major trophy this year.

I thought we were actually talking about why Milan were so poor in the first half - I presume that means you are not going to answer the question then?

Posted

yep.

cant be arsed anymore.

youre clearly the best team in europe, with a tactical genius as a manager, the only reason you ever lose is cause everyone else cheats and with 40,000 fans singing YNWA how can you lose.

and yes i can see nerves getting to nesta and maldini (plus kaka and seedorf)...it took them 45 minutes and a goal to settle down and even with that kak and seedorf still played keek.

you have to be on the wind up. if not you need sectioning.

or, perhaps more likely, you are really, really pi**ed off that milan didn't take us apart like they did your lot. They won cause we didn't have the quality or composure on the night to take advantage of our better play.

kaka was poor cause he knew he had something like 0.0005 seconds to do something with the ball before mascherano took it off him like candy from a baby.
