According to the uefa site - i've already put a thread on here somewhere.

Going to be in Syntagma Sq and another place close by, so in the centre of Athens and 10 mins from Plaka max and 15 mins from Omonia Sq.

Central Athens Map

A half decent map for those who need one to print off.

Shows quite a large area which includes the main areas for drinking and eating which are in no specific order.

Plaka, Aerides, Monastiraki, Psyrri & Omonia.

could do with knowing decent bars near to the ground, just in case I don't get a ticket.

Needs to be near the ground so I can get the coach back to our resort after the game.

Cunny, a few Olympiakos fans are on RAWK, one did say somewhere maybe 10 min from ground on metro has bars etc, so that might work as you could watch the match then travel back in.

Maybe ask one of them? Lord-7 was one of them.

Was there in Sept. From memory, the Plaka has stations on the same line as the stadium area. Far and away the best district for bars and cafes. all directly below the Accropolis. Accropolis and Temple of zues worth seeing, and are so big you can't really miss them

Traffic is bloody awful around the docks and if you are coming in by ferry then don't bother with a cab. hard to find, and quicker by tube.

cabs from airport into town are a rob. Take the train.

I'm on the same problem. Can't find a place to stay for 1 person!

I was told by one hotel to try on the morning of the game. Hotels are booked and are also, in the main, booked for people staying more than 1 night. The hotel I spoke to said that there are bound to be cancellations between now and the game and therefore you will be more likely to find a room a day before/the day of the game.
