Liverpool will wear their famous red strip for this season's Champions League final against AC Milan.

Liverpool had been selected as the away team for the clash in Athens but Milan have opted to wear their all white kit, leaving the Reds free to wear their preferred colours.

Did AC Milan beat Barcelona 4-0 in Athens back in the mid-90's when Massaro and Savicevic scored - probably 94 ?

Yes Athens in 94. A stunning display from Milan, who were playing without their first choice CB pairing (Baresi and Costacurta) and with Van Basten out injured (for good as it turned out).

It would be horrible to see the yellow strip in the final.

Yep, that was 1994. Milan played in white. Massaro (2), Savicevic and Desailly the scorers.

Rafael Benitez's side had been named as the away team for the match in Athens but Milan have chosen to wear their all white strip.

That means the teams will be wearing the same colours as when they met in the 2005 final in Istanbul, when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down at half-time to win on penalties.

Milan made this choice the last time didn't they?

Obviously the believe white is their lucky colour, either that or they want to create a re dramatisation of the previous final

If the latter I think there is something to be said of their mental state
