amazing what this has done for our season...

a week ago, and really you could look upon this season a massive dissapointment....no real progress in the league, our of the fa cup, league cup and given no hope in the 2nd leg of the champs league after losing to chelsea one nill(at least given no chance by the pathetic english press)

And now..............well a season we thought would be a dissapointment now could likely turn into one of our greatest ever seasons, so we havent challenged for the league and gotten closer by finishing 2nd...still for me, winning the champs league is the ultimate after not being able to win the league....Yes the premiership is what we want, but if we are not gonna win it....2nd means nothing.

Also players like Zenden now have the chance to be rememberd as legends....when in all likely, he would have left the end of the season regarded as a flop(ie..look at smicer)

Question is this..........If Rafa doesnt get us closer to winning the league next season, if there an argument for us to have two different managers..one for the premiership and one for the Champs league ? ........................................................................................... ;)

Thats footy innit, not just with us, but with a lot of teams. Couple months ago, Arsenal fans where full of it, now they are coming to the end of a 2nd successive underperforming season with nothing achieved.

And Chelsea up until a week ago, they where full of it as well.

Things change, very quickly

No chance! The often quoted 'I don't want to see the Mancs win a throw in' seems applicable.

Anyhow, on a different subject, isn't this great? We have a few weeks just to enjoy being there now. We can look forward to the final, enjoy the build up, watch the Sky specials, enjoy seeing the 2005 footage over and over again.

The fact that the Mancs are out means that the horrible nerves that would have come with a final against them have, to a large degree, disappeared. We can just sit back and enjoy being the focus of the world's footballing attention once more.

I'm sure I'm touching a raw nerve here. But why would Chelsea doing a triple be less of a pain than Mancs doing a double?

Why would you detest ManU more than Chelsea?

To say the least, ManU is a football club that is run successfully with a sustainable business model while Chelsea, imo, is nothing more than a rich man's play thing with a purchasing policy which is down right obscene (to put it kindly).

Is it the manager?

I can't see how the loud mouth, ball less, it-is-everybody-else's-fault-except-mine Jose is any less annoying than Alex ferguson.

Is it the fans?

They both have annoying fans which gets on the nerves (so are some of ours).

While it is true that historically ManU as a club has caused us more pain than the others esp over the last 10 years, but shouldn't Chelsea be accorded the same level of disdain and hatred on account of the recent years?

Or is it just our insecurity that Man U might actually threaten our record of 18 titles?

b******s. Nothing for the Mancs. They've won the FA cup more than anyone else, and they're way too close to our league record. I'd rather Chelsea won five straight titles than the Mancs win anything at all.

Chelsea winning is all so manufactured, no heart no soul.

It means little to me, certainly doesn't hurt, cos it has no substance (well apart from Abramovich's cash) to it.

Mancs are after all a long time rival, Cheslea are just rich little rent boys having their paid for day in the sun.

Is it me or has getting to the CL Final become much more an occasion than winning the league. Utd will parade the trophy one Staurday, while the whole world be be watching us on May 23rd.

After saying that I still want #19 badly.

The European Cup is the pinacle of world football where once that would be the World Cup as International football has become less relevant.

(wait a minute, isn't winding wheel a manc or has my list of double agents become befuddled)

how is winning the fa cup going to get them any closer to our league record. at the end of the day the fa cup is the 3rd best competition out of 4
