Javier Arizmendi insists his focus is on playing amid speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool.

Reports in Spain claim the Deportivo La Coruna striker is a summer transfer target for Reds boss Rafa Benitez.

Arizmendi is due to return to Atletico Madrid in the summer after the Vicente Calderon club took up an option to buy back the player.

Should the move collapse, Liverpool are believed to be ready use their excellent relationship with Deportivo to bid for Arizmendi.

A Liverpool scout is understood to be keeping tabs on Arizmendi, but the 23-year-old is remaining quiet on the link.

"I only want to play and about this subject the clubs will need to speak in the weeks ahead," he told Spanish daily AS.

LIVERPOOL CONSIDERS THE ARIZMENDI HIRING

A ojeador takes to him following all the season. Athletic still the doubt if to repescar to him. It guarantees Benítez

TRIED. Arizmendi has become one of the players of the Sport one with better poster in the market.

The final destiny of Javier Arizmendi can be in the Premier League. The great trajectory of the Madrilenian player is no unnoticed pass for Rafa Benítez, and reds counts on an ample one to dossier of the evolutions of the forward blanquiazul. The certain thing is that the English set has put him a marcaje to the man to Arizmendi and a Cordovan ojeador of the Liverpool has been taking it following for several months. Most of the information they take place when the Sport one plays abroad.

The disadvantage for the Liverpool is called Athletic of Madrid. The colchonero set has a repesca option on Arizmendi that signed when the player was transferred to the Sport one. The Madrilenian equipment can recover at the end of this season to the forward by three million euros. After the great season that Arizmendi was making, in special after his partidazo before Real Madrid in Riazor, the club rojiblanco had decided to exert its preferential option. However, lately they have appeared several discordant voices on the return of Arizmendi in the surroundings of Cherry tree, that no longer knows it so clearly. If the Athletic one stops, the Liverpool will have green light for its hiring. The doubts rojiblancas are motivated by the contract that have signed with the Depor, that forces to maintain to them during one season to Arizmendi in the first group without possibility of yielding it or of reselling it.

In addition, there is another factor that also plays in favor of Rafa Benítez: its good relation with Caparrós and the Sport one. The technician of the Liverpool maintains a dialogue flowed with Caparrós, and its good relation was key in the recent crossing in the market of winter of Arbeloa to reds, by which almost four million euros paid.

If the Athletic one finally decides not to repescar to Arizmendi, the coffers of the Sport one could be the great beneficiaries, because crossing of Arizmendi to the Liverpool will be by a very superior amount. The eleven days that lack, will be key for the final destiny of the Madrilenian end.

Same here, he seems to always be on the left or behind a striker. Remember him scoring a f***ing boss goal away to Betis a while back.

No because the strikers we have brought in since Rafa has arrived have all been average goalscorers, if you cant stand some unbiased view of things its your problem, not mine`.

Whats your problem by the way, do your bird fancy me or something?

So why bring that up on a thread about us being linked with someone in a newspaper?

You're a blert with your own stupid agenda's which is exactly why you're absolutely despised (And now banned?) on RAWK. You're clueless.

Sometimes i really wonder where all the whoppers on this forum come from

Probably from a land named Reality, where red blinkered glasses are not the latest fashion and never will be.

In the land Reality you speak the truth not what you think other wants you to say, one more important thing with the land of Reality is that sheeps are not allowed.

Interesting how only those with a negative spin on things claim to offer an "unbiased" view on things :hmm:

So having a go at the manager for being linked with a player who he probably hasn't even looked at, and you've probably never even seen, is living in reality?

Do f*** of mate, we have our own pricks on here, we don't need RAWK's as well

I can only speak for myself, and all I want is for the team to be the best team possible, and unless Rafa wants to make drastically changes to the ideas he base his set ups upon we will need strikers and wingers that chip in with the goals, so players with a 1 in 3, 1 in 4 and 1 in 30 goals pr match scoring rate in these positions will never bring us the league title, to think otherwise, well its not really realistic is it?

Kaiser has a point, even if were not after this fella.

Rafa needs to prove he can find the final "missing pieces" ie goalscoring midfielders and forwards.

IMO we now play decent football, control games and look quite good, we need to move up a level with 2/3 Brilliant, 'World Class' players.

Easy, just need to find the right ones and ensure they settle in quickly and everything will be perfect..... erm something like that anyway.

I dont know if people are aware but this is a player that has probably been the breakout Spanish player this year, Barca are after accoring to Guilleme on revista a couple months back. This isnt a Josemi, this guy is a full international

It doesnt matter, people are still going to jump to their own conclusions. If he isnt famous or well-known or doesnt look good in youtube or worse, you cant even find him on youtube, he isnt "world class".

Interesting. Hadn't even heard of him prior to this tbh.

I'm not too sure everyone who contributed bothered reading your earlier post either. Sounds like he could be a 'Luis Garcia' for the left type player?

He looks a good player who will get better, could actually be just what we're after. In response to your question Jimmy, I'm not sure the people who have been moaning about us even thinking of signing him it in this thread are aware of that.

What those people are aware of is that they can complain about Rafa players they haven't got a f*cking clue about; I'd say they are aware of that much, however not how silly it make them look.
