Guest gumper Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Cracking game; mom for me, we've missed him....now the poor sod looks injured again: anyone go any idea how bad it is etc. etc.?
Benitez Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 If that that horrible buck toothed twunt has hurt our Momo..... I raelly hope he's ok, but it's always a worry with him, as he's not likely to go off unless it is something bad. And his injuries are either freak ones, or now it seems caused by some twunt diving in with a rash challenge.
surf Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 didn't look too bad to me, just a knock. let's hope that's all it is...
IgPig Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 yeah didn't seem to twist it like Terry in the Chelsea game.
4411 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 god I hate those f***ing EU refs, Ronaldinho couldn't be f***ing touched without the ref blowing the f***ing whistle!
el_berto Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 only positive thing this time is that we have some cover unlike when he went off against Birmingham
L19red Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 fantasic performace from momo. i though he and the two strikers were immense tonigth keeping barca penned back. defo my MoTM.
dorgie Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 How he gave Barca a free kick for that incident was shocking. Ronaldinho fouled Momo TWICE, yet Barca still got the free kick.
Sheida V Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I agree! He was my man of the match. Hope he's fit for the return leg because I think he really made the difference in midfield and can frustrate Barca's creative midfielders.
madskilz Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 god I hate those f***ing EU refs, Ronaldinho couldn't be f***ing touched without the ref blowing the f***ing whistle! That challenge was probably the only one worthy of a booking, never seen such a poor referee
Sheida V Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 The ref was giving everything! I think Barca will have to play something closer to English football when they come to Anfield, though. Barcelona fall at every opportunity but they're not averse to cynical stuff themselves.
Conor Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I watched the game with my cousin who is an avid United fan. And he was raving about Sissoko. And then I mentioned he was 22. He nearly fell over. We have a world beater on our hands. I have no doubt about that.
San Diego Red Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Poor reffing today, he allowed the hairy mouse-face (Puyol) to influence him and then carded Agger.
Sheida V Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Did anyone else see Puyol appeal so hard for a foul against some Barca player that he fell over They have some glaring weaknesses that we can really take advantage of in the 2nd leg.
CaptainXabi Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 When I saw Momo leading that break I thought to myself "Oh my, he's not going to cap off the night with a mazy run and cool finish is he?". That would have been boss. Ah well, he'll have to save it for the 2nd leg. What a player.
Redwire Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 It looked like a nasty twist of the knee to me. Hope it's not too serious as he was superb tonight, especially second half. He's becoming our most important player.
Coyler Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Savage game. Good to have him back (it was?).
Bo Benn Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 (edited) Momo was absolutely outstanding. Hope he's not seriously injured. I'd say give him a new contract and sign him up til he's 35. Edited February 22, 2007 by lfc19
Bootle Buck Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Well in Momo. A Collosull performance considering he hasn't played in ages.o
12twelve Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 just love the fact that everytime Xavi gets the ball, Momo's right on him! he's been so restricted that Rijkaard has to take him off.
