Watched this last night. What a brace from Digger. How we could do with a player like him on the left right now.

Great stuff that last night, brought it all back.

 

The Kop went beserk for Barnes that day, the way he glided through to set up the first and waltzed in for the last two was perfection.

I queued up at 11am for the West Ham game that season and gates opened up at 1pm.

 

That season was a watershed for attendances - used to be a lot of games around 38,000 mark until then

And a Kop season ticket that season to watch that team turn out was about fifty squid.
