To come back so quickly from such bad injuries may suggest he is strong - BUT, he's now broken his leg 3 times hasn't he? Like there is a weakness there, surely you can't just be so unlucky with breaks. Anyway, I wish him well for the season and hope he stays injury free now and scores a lot of goals.

I'm happy for Cisse. He has shown tremendous spirit to fight back from two horrendous injuries.

 

On a financial note, it's a sad irony that when we really needed the money from his sale (to buy Alves instead of Pennant, presumably) he got injured. Now that we can hopefully look forward to a fee for Djibril, it may soon look like small change to the men in charge.

he always talked a good game for us, unfortunately (his 19 goals last season notwithstanding) he failed to match the words with his workrate and temperament on the pitch. one lazy fecker at tracking back and how annoying were those moments when he stopped running to throw his arms out in disgust and frustration at a bad ball. not a Rafa player.
