He can't be as bad as he's shown. Out of all the newbies struggling he has to be the one who comes good. I've seen him play before and he's never what he is showing. The prospect of going to prison and being made Vincent's bitch (but oh no vincent isn't gay despite all the things he makes all his underlings do to him) has to f*ck you up. I remember when I split up with my ex and i had to play football 10 mins after and I was shocking cos I just couldn't concentrate.

I think he'll turn into a much better player for us. He may never be outstanding as he hasn't got the ability levels of an Henry or an Eto'o but he'll be effective for us. We certainly need a player like the one he is meant to be.

He needs to get into the box more and attack crosses more aggressively (I never thought I'd be saying Craig Bellamy needs to be more aggressive).

he looked great in his first few games, especially at home against west ham. since then he's struggled. maybe with the court case over and done with we'll see him regain his confidence. in fairness to him, the service to all our front players has been poor and we are not creating enough clear chances.

out of all the new signings the only one i have concerns over is pennant. i think bellamy and gonzalez are a bit tougher mentally and will come good.

It really was far too soon to give up on him!

Now he hasn't got the trial playing on his mind, and can just concentrate on Liverpool, we'll see the best of him. He's a good player.

He was wrongly given offside three times when through on goal today so could have scored more. Probably why he seemed to get so frustrated towards the end of the game.

its annoying that, getting punished for being quick. Like Crouchy gets punished for being tall :D Damn linos and refs.

He's just going through what Crouchzinho went through last year

He has shown in glimpses what he can do, it's just a matter of time before he started to bang the goals in like he did today

With Gerrard in the midfield there's actually someone who would thread throughballs to him, which we haven't done all season

The first goal was one of his typical finishes in other teams...

Hope we see more of the same from him, he's got a crazy character but seems like a nice bloke, Im sure the players have fun when hes around, seemed to be smiling the enire match...

congrats on his best performance for us so far...

did kuyt score after bellamys pass? the move that was deemed offside by the ref but it was actually a backpass from a wigan defender

i said when he joined i was delighted, many said

"hes a c***, but he's now our c***"

"he's a bully, but hes a red bully"

i still think the same, but he has this funny knack of putting the ball behind the opposition's goal keeper :o

that will do..

he's struggled, but he'll still be the good signing he was in the summer, people questioned Crouch when he joined.

Just watch and see :)

Not really taken to him at all, he's put in some dreadful performances, always moaning and bemoaning his luck. Listening to Aldo on City and he said he's like a new player, he's done more in the first ten minutes at Wigan than all season.

Maybe the court case was affecting him, I don't know.

I'm still reserving my expert judgment on him though :bleh:

It's so hard to take anything you say about our players seriously Kev, when you come out with a line like that, which is the perfect description of your favourite player who you wanted back here.

If Bellamy and Gerrard can click like Gerrard and Owen used to do we'll be laughing. Yesterdays performance was really excellent in the way Bellamy, Kuyt and Gerrard combined.

Bellamy was like a fly in a honey jar today.... immense performance... wonder if it all the legal stuff that has held him back?

course it was. he was possibly going to prison. Unless you're Lee Bowyer football suddenly becomes less important
