The Big 4 in competitive games this season

Taking all the competitive games (league, CL, CS and league cup) the big 4 have played this season, and awarding 3 points for games won in the league cup and charity shield, we aren't as far behind as you would think, we're still last but I found it encouraging all the same (considering we have played the other 3 away from home already)

Good stats but it still doesn't take away the fact that our league form needs to vastly improve.

Clutching at straws. The league is what we need and we have drastically underperformed. We don't need to butter up our poor start as some kind of success. Rafa is aware of whats needed and I have full faith he will fix the away form issue and I am also sure he would think the above stats have no bearing on reality. Spin like this is just desperation.

All well and all, but that's mostly (almost completely) attributable to our Cup games.

 

We want the League, where I believe we've managed to beat only Arsenal (twice) in 3 years.

you're welcome. I should have done a 3 page essay on the benefits of zonal marking or rotation, then it would have been more peoples street.

Not as daft as it appears.

 

The only factor that makes us look so dire is the 5 losses. 3 of those against our closest opposition, which of course makes it more painful. Overall, we are not that much out of the equation it is just the premiership results that suck.

No Tosh, its not great but not as bad as I expected, the other teams have all had purple patches, we still haven't got out of second gear yet (I hope)
