Can anyone give me a very brief update on the injuries to Xabi, Gonzales and Pennant?

Long or short term? Serious or not? Any estimates on how long they are out?

Gonzales looked like a hamstring, Xabi looked like studs up his leg and Pennant looked like his knee (at one stage) and his hamstring the next..?

Quick info anyone?

According to the boss Gonzales appears the most serious with a torn hammy and will be out for at least 2-3. Pennant had hamstring spasms and Xabi a dead leg. He didn't give a timescale for either of these.

"Gonzalez will be out for at least two weeks with his hamstring which is a blow for us. Xabi has a dead leg and Pennant has spasms in his hamstring so we will have to see how he is.

f***ing hell - 2 weeks for a hamstring - Rafa is dreaming

Xabi is a bit of a puff going off with a dead leg

Pennant as well hamstring - another lengthy lay off methinks

Erm thanks a million

well it's the obvious place aint it, why not just look there instead of asking others to do the work for you

No one is going to know more than what is there (which isn't much, cos nothing more official has been said yet)

Pennant was the only one of the three not to be on crutches when they left the ground, according to one of the papers today.

Not good.

I thought Zenden did very well when he came on - and we have some cover available - maybe time to bring someone like Anderson into the frame?

Good that Garcia is back as well and Riise can play left mid as well - so hopefully it won't affect us too much

Showed Xabi on crutches last night in the ground on Sky.

Only thing wrong with Gonzalez is the bleeding S that people seem to think he has in his name. Must have snapped off last night ;)

On a sidenote, if we're to have Bolo playing in the middle and well, we'd have to get him in without a warmup. And he stays injury free. Oh well, it worked last night.

Actually I think I saw you as well - thought "He looks familiar" - but only just realised now who you were

:)

Do you sit up there now? Cracking view isn't it?

Yep towards the back is pretty high - now and then I sit behind the executive seats right at the back right in the centre - it's like watching match of the day :D

Like it up there generally because you can see and appreciate the tactics more than when you're end on or lower down
