ynwa.tv Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Down Memory Lane Meet the Referee Double Agents
Alonso Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Win this one and we finish top of the group and should hopefully get an "easier" draw for the last 16. We could also then give some of the younger players a taste of a European game against Galatasary away. For that reason I think Rafa will take this game very seriously even tho we have qualified and also to get some confidence back along with scoring some goals. I'd probably make 2 changes from the Boro game and put Garcia in for Pennant and Crouch in for Bellamy, altho what Rafa will do is anyone's guess.......!
Tyler Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Interesting how well we have done in Europe this season given our indifferent league form. Would be nice to win and top the group. A favourable draw for the knock out stages, build some momentum and who knows?
Guest Kev Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 There's no easy draw in the last 16 - Remember Benfica ? By finishing top you only gaurentee that you are at home for the second leg. By finishing top we could face Madrid or Barca as well.
Guest BrianF Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Like to see a few given a rest for this one. No point in risking any more key players getting injured. Reina Peltier Carra Agger Aurelio GarciaZendenGerrardGonazalez BellamyKuyt
Ronnie Whelan Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 We better take this seriously as its my first champions league night in anfield.
Otocon Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Come on Liverpool. Hope the boys shove Kromkamps views back down his ugly mush. Also hope Gerrard plays brilliantly - which he hasn't demonstrated lately. Good luck to all the players for tomorrow night.
R A Softlad Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 We better take this seriously as its my first champions league night in anfield. Congrats. Enjoy!

Otocon Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I reckon Rafa should get his boots on, Pako as his sidekick in the middle - so Zendan how its done against his compatriots. downunder Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 If we win, the Gala game can't be full of kids as the team has to be from the squad selected at the begining of the season, so it will be first team and fringe first teamers.
Ronnie Whelan Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Congrats. Enjoy! Thanks mate. Have been at a couple of UEFA cup games, but never a CL match. Should be good, especially after 5 hours beering it up!

Well it was a figure of speech for the most part. But we can play almost all second stringers if we like. Long as we sort this game out first

Guest danuttah Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Why on earth is this game on Sky Sports Extra instead of Sky Sports 1?? We have been relegated by a meaningless game between two foriegn teams!....

Are you sure? I thought players under 19 or so and local were always allowed to play, part of the new rules about the amount of homegrown players?
Reggie Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Are you sure? I thought players under 19 or so and local were always allowed to play, part of the new rules about the amount of homegrown players? Each club has to submit an A list and B list to Uefa before the end of August. The A list is limited to 25 players, of these 4 places are reserved for "locally trained players". The B list is an unlimited number of players as long as they are born on or after 1st January 1985 and has been eligible to play for their club for two years since they were 15.

Spike Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Anyone know where the PSV team are staying? Saw what looked like a few of them, all in the same trackies, coming out of Victoria park in Warrington on my way to work this morning.
AE Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 More OOT'rs Please don't wear jester hats, clap half way through YNWA, and chant 'EEAASEEH EEAASEHH' If they don't they will be hard to spot and the scousers will have nothing to whinge about on here tomorrow.
Will Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 Hope the boys shove Kromkamps views back down his ugly mushWhat views?
Hodgson for Chelsea Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 What views? He said that our centre backs resort to long balls when the opposition cut off their route to the midfield (fair enough IMO, seen it happen). He referred to the long balls as 'ugly balls to Crouch' and the media picked up on it... I have a feeling we'll win and play Real Madrid in the next round.
