Do you think this stuff is legit or fake link

Been bought something from here as a gift , obviously don't want to question the person who bought it me as to it's authenticity but i'm always sceptical of these things , anybody here know anything about this site and whether these are real or fake ?

I'm not an expert on this kind of thing but that photo of Stevie and Carra kissing the Eurpean Cup has just gone on my Christmas list :)

Some of it looks jarg to me, but there's other stuff that I know is legit like the '65 FA Cup final thing (unless they're photocopies - can't tell off the site).

They give the same old cack about a Certificate of Authenticity but they're only issuing it themselves, so it means nothing.

Ask yourself how they get hold of so much stuff and why they haven't got a postal or registered address on their site. They only use Paypal as well, so they're not registered for credit cards etc.

Why not?

they sell on Ebay, and are based in the Midlands.

At least they don't do that 'private' bidder thing a lot of autograph sellers do on Ebay, which is used so people cant contact bidders to tell 'em they are dodgy. Or which allows sellers to up the prices on their items.

So thats one thing in their favour!

You could always contact UACC who they are members of. Not that this is any great guarantee either.

The Benitez autographs look ok. I've got a few gathered in person from Rafa, and bought from legit sources (including one that journo James Lawton got from him in Istanbul), so I've seen the various guises of his autograh. (And there are many)! And I've seen so many dodgy Rafa autographs. But those look ok.

I wonder as well how they managed to get so many signatures. There doesn't seem to be any info on how many of each picture they have. If they have loads of each one they couldn't afford to sell them at those prices from my experience.

I know a little bit about this company who do a similar sort of thing

http://bigbluetube.com/

they pay each person a certain amount for a signiture and the individual signs 500 prints. After that the item is sold out, which makes them collectables. They have pictures of the players doing the signings as well. For example http://bigbluetube.com/Products/The_Flame_...llinfo=1#jJump1

Given that BBT's Alonso was is £75 i can't see how this company can sell a Gerrard and Carra one for £70, unless they have some sort of contact within the club

Is that through Ben?

I got my prints from the Barry venison site...

http://www.bid4sport.com/theshop2/products.asp?TypeID=20 bid4sport.

Not much Liverpool stuff there at the moment, but I would love the shirt....

EDIT - The great thing was you can see a photo of the item(s) being signed as well.

The Fowler and Hyppia treble ones I got where around £40 if I remember correctly

Sort of. Ben used to work there yes. And then his missus did. We also did some Market Research for them.

How do you know Ben? Do i know you?

I worked there with Ben & Leanne till last summer, so I know the signed tuff from them is legit.

I might have met you at their wedding do or the Stanley before the game, or the Ataturk. I was the slap-heed wool.

Yeah , i've got a few autographs myself that i know are genuine(signed in person) and the ones on that site do match up closely to them , just curious as you say on how they have that amount of stuff and why only paypal , they do have a contact number and holographic stickers on all the items though and offer a lifetime refund , plus the e-bay feedback is 100 percent . Dunno what to think really .

bigbluetube is defo genuine as far as i know .

Big Blue Tube are definitely legit.

I've got loads of signed shirts, programmes, tickets, photos at home - always intend to flog them or get them framed and displayed, but never get round to doing either.

I have the Alonso one, the Gary mac one and the Barnes one from BBT all framed at home. Plus a nice pic of me and Old Big Ears

I had one of Phil Neals tops signed by the entire 83-84 squad framed hanging up in my flat, then I got married and for some reason the wife wouldn't let me hang it in the living room! but it did look the part, I eventually realised it wasn't doing much good at the bottom of a drawer and gave it to John Mac who sold it on behave of the HJC, I think it raised a good bit.

Thing is, what is taken as general proof that an item is genuine.

If the COA of a company is nothing to go by - what are we meant to believe?

Im really up for getting a load of stuff but I want to know its real - whats the best way of being sure?

I have just sent a mail to the UACC to see if this company are really registered with them, as I can not see that they are.

I have a couple of Signed HK Socceroo shirts (which I am selling in Aus) that are stunning, I bought them through his agent so I know they are genuine. Apparently Harry didn't sign more than 10 shirts whilst in Germnay although over 100 have been sold on ebay (Amazingly all different!!). I think it is very hard to know what is genuine and what isn't.

Gerrard must have spent weeks signing all that CL memorabilia....

thats what worries me. He very rarely signs anything, as some on here have found out, and there is no mention of having a deal with him on the site

I emailed this Craven Sports place asking how they got hold of so much Stevie G stock when I know for a fact he doesnt sign much and the reply I got was

"Hi Wes

Have "high stocks" at the moment because collect for 12 months through the year

for Christmas sales and have good contact at the club."

Not sure if I believe him or not - although in his previous reply to me he did explain that a COA means nothing, but people ask for them due to resale reasons and that thats the only reason they have them

Also that they dont get photographed proof of signatures as this would prove impossible because of the amount that they get.

Still not sure myself - although they have a 100% rating on EBAY.

The stuff I have has a picture of Harry signing the shirts, not sure if that means much, but as I said mine are 100% genuine I have no doubt....but then again would you trust Bernie :)

I just really like the Stevie G FA cup pics or CL pics, but i dont wanna shed out unless im pretty sure they are real - and you basically have to take someones word for it.

If I knew someone who I knew had ligit stuff then id be happy - but this guy has some nice stuff, but not sure if its real.

No I am not trying to sell to you, honest, especially as I am in Oz and the framed shirts are bloody big!!! Just trying to help when it comes to knowing if things are genuine. I woull only buy if I could 100% guarantee they were kosher, as soon as I had any doubt I wouldn't do it.
