No idea where we'll meet - I spent 3 years in Sheffield but can't recall any decent boozers near the station which seems like the right area to meet in? Or centre of town - which isn't far from the station in any case

Bramall Lane is a pit, and SYP are neanderthals but Sheffield is generally a nice place - slightly grim, yes

Don't know why people are sounding the alarm bells about Sheffield, it's no different to any other away.

 

I wouldn't go drinking around Brammall or on London Rd as that is where their n*bheads go - and there are a few like.

 

You could go drinking in town and walk to the ground in 15 mins.

I lived in Sheffield for 7 years in late eighties and early nineties and went to Bramall Lane regularly.

 

Unfortunately I won't be going but here's my suggestion for where to drink.

 

There were two pubs on Bramall Lane directly behind away stand, The Railway and A N Other, which I wouldn't recommend.

 

And I wouldn't recommend any on London Road either.

 

But there are some decent pubs in city centre. Try the Yorkshire Grey or the Roebuck which are next to the Town Hall, only a 5 minute walk to the ground.
