Woodsyla Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Admittedly I only saw the highlights of Crewe but from what I've seen so far this season he looks a lot faster than he did last season. If you are carrying a lot of excess weight and you shed it can you actually gain pace ? If he is a yard quicker he will definitely be knocking on the first team door because he has everything else in his armoury already. Lovely backheel on Saturday, some great awareness in his passing as well.

I agree with your theory, e.g. if you way 15st and have been running around with that much weight, you legs compensate by getting stronger to carry the weight. Then within a short space of time you lose weight and go down to 11st, your legs are still as strong and are pushing less weight.
Ombudsam Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Of course you're quicker if you are lighter after being fat. What next? If you stick water over a fire does it heat up?
Ombudsam Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 it puts it out All those times when I thought I was making tea I was drinking fantasy water. I thought PG was just shyte
Guest YKI Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Anybody know if I can get odds of Fowler scoring more goals this coming season than Shevchenko?
Senrab_nhoj Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 it puts it out Just had someone ask me if I was ok on a teleconference... thought I was choking whilst trying not to laugh out loud at that
Ronnie Whelan Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Anybody know if I can get odds of Fowler scoring more goals this coming season than Shevchenko? Would be teriffic if that bet came up.
Huyton_Red Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I think robbie folwer will be an absolute revelation this season, everyone is talking about finding the missing peice of the jigsaw etc, we already found him and he cost us f'ck all. Get him 100% fit and you have the genuis up front that most title winning teams have. His awarness, touch and creativity have improved dramatically as he has gotten older and he was always the best finisher there is.

In the two friendlies played this season it has been interesting that Bellamy and Linfield have both performed well and on both occassions have been playing of an increasingly aware Fowler.
Cooldude Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 He'll surprise many this season Will probably score 15 and create as many if he's fit. His link up play is just superb
