el_berto Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Pure collective genius!Fecin hell though, I'd forgotten how short kecks were then Who wears short shorts?
realtarragona Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 That was brilliant. Could have been about double that score too.
HeWonItFromBrock Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Best thing about that game was that Forrest were a bloody good side that season and had beaten us at their place a couple of weeks previous. Did they show the St John's Ambulance bloke flicking the ball up with his back heel after Aldridge had been tackled?
Huyton_Red Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 I will never forget that game, we where brilliant then. John Barnes was amazing It was also the night of parents evening in my school and I remember my mum volleying me up and down the stairs when I get home from the match because the teachers had been 'unkind' in their assessment of my school work
monkey puzzle Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 When I started supporting Liverpool someone bought me a copy of that game and I watched it nearly everyday for about a year. Still have the game on video, I know the match inside and out!
Gunga Din Posted July 16, 2006 Author Posted July 16, 2006 I just love this channel. This week-end they showed a 3-1 victory over ManU in 1975 (Ray Kennedy sporting a 'tache....lol), the 1971 FA Cup Final , that 5-0 against Forest again and several other games involving WBA, Leeds, Derby & ManU from the 70's. Fantastic stuff. the Derby Leeds game that was on earlier was a belter. Bremner diving for a pen, and then him and Hunter having a proper scrap on the park after being sent off
Gunga Din Posted July 18, 2006 Author Posted July 18, 2006 we are on again now, playing the mancs in 75, folled by us against stoke in 1976
oakie bob Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 how quiet was the kop when the 3rd goal went in , of course as anny road is younger than me he couldnt have been there to get the singing going.................i blame NHE he was probably there the old fart
Gunga Din Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 I think you mean Franny Lee. i think you might be right
Igors Uncle Dave Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Does anyone have a copy of the Forrest game on DVD that I could get?
