Guest PaulMcC Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 A Liverpool XI probably means a reserve/youth team.

Will Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Lincoln is indeed on the same day as England are due to play Greece - it is an international date
monkey puzzle Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 What a thoroughly ridiculous time to have a friendly. They've just been at the WC for 6 weeks. International footy does my t*** in.
Herbie von Smalls Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 any odds on the mighty salif being skipper for that one?
Zoob Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Hopefully we'll hold on to all our internationals, as they're needed for this match. I know a couple of European leagues have started already, but I think this is the first time we've had an international friendly before our season starts. Absolutely absurd. any odds on the mighty salif being skipper for that one?33-1 we give him a chance to show us his goalkeeping skills.
Ethan Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Kuyt Debut Kuyt will be playing for the Dutch in Dublin that day
Guest Scot James Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 (edited) What a thoroughly ridiculous time to have a friendly. They've just been at the WC for 6 weeks. International footy does my t*** in. Absolutely. How are managers supposed to prepare properly for the opening game of the new season with their best players jetting off all over Europe, with some not back until Friday, and with the threat of injuries.
