They were lined up outside the pubs aplauding us on the way to the trainstation. Aside from the old 'sign on' chestnut they were quality fans.

The only reason I stopped to shake their hands and say well done was because I was in a delrious daze and had I been totally normal I probably wouldn't have done it for fear of a t***ting. But they didn't just act politely and say go off, they all made a genuine effort to shake my our hands and congratulate us etc etc etc.

 

I'm normally critical of cockneys but credit where credits due and as I said, Chelsea could learn a lot from them.

Ive said this before and I'll say it again, West Ham are a real club, good board, good manager, and a production line of young players that has worked for years, they play the game the right way and their fans know their stuff. I dont support them but I do respect them. They did a leeds and came back - says it all

i spoke to loads of their fans, especially the kids, cos they looked truly gutted.i hope they get to see games like this again,hopefully against the chavs,and a different result.

on the train back, all the w.ham fans talked about was how good Stevie was/is, and the respect they had for our fans.
