Really is a vital player for us,especially in tense games,always he gets a grip on the game..his experience shows.

 

He did in the champs league final and again yesterday....the way he plays he could be a vital squad member for another 3 years in my opinion..no reason to get rid of him.

Hamann was a total rock yesterday, anyone who says otherwise is a Blue!!

 

It is hard to see where he can play regularly, but he was one of the few yesterday who gave me any confidence, and tried too.....

I dread every penalty but his s*** me up, I had memories of his TNS penalty but he's a German, he knows how to take one when it matters. His League Cup pen doesnt count

we've got to keep der kaiser. he doesn't make the bench most weeks but when he does step in you know you're going to get a sterling performance.

 

with 2 players for each position, 6 outfield players in the stands, you need players like didi.

We need Alonso to play like Didi in a Defensive sense.

 

Alonso has all the tools and knowledge and skill when it comes to holding up the ball, spraying it around and setting up goals, but when Didi plays, you really start to notice the little holes that creep in when he isnt playing.

He has. Still doesn't mean the club wouldn't allow him to leave.

most of the players mentioned/linked with us are those who will expect first team football.....what we need is what we already have, a player with experience who doesnt mind not starting every week..

 

Hamann,alonso,gerrard,sissoko we are well covered in center mid,so i dont see any big money signings for that position....carrick,barton,etc would all cost upwards of 5mill.
