They missed their 1st 3, so 2-0 was enough I think

Yes spot on re Jerzy and Ipswich

they could then score the next two and draw if we missed the rest

we had two penalty shoot outs agaisnt Celtic in the Dubai Cup. won one and lost one.

That was in the T.N.T. Inter-City Challenge Cup on 28 July 1993 at St. Andrews

Game ended 1-1 (Rushie scored)

We lost 4-3 on pens

Clough's 1st game was 5 days before - a friendly agaianst a Kevin Keegan All Star XI at the Don Valley Stadium. We won 5-0, with Ruddock also playing his first reds game. That match was played in memory of a Liverpool fan killed in a road accident.

Stig was actually a ski jumper in his younger days. He's apparently the only professional footballer who's jumped over 100m on skiis.

His dad was a decent ski jumper.

I remember the Leeds 'keeper David Harvey missing their penalty. They were blessed with keepers in those day e.g Gary Sprake who threw the ball into his own net against Brum (I think).
