Obviously watched a different game to me then. Riise was utter s**** for most of the game to be honest. Gerrard started of nervy but grew into the game brilliantly.

Momo was fecking amazing from start to finish and I thought a special mention has to go to Hamann who really settled us when we needed it. It was clear Alonso wasn't100% fit either.

Nando was cack as usual, cant stand the f*****, Cisse, even with 1 leg did more than him, hell, he wouldnt even man up and take a peno, letting the lieks of Hypia step up, i didnt like that

 

Riise was ran ragged by Benayoun, who deserved to be on the winning team, apart from that, everyone had a great second half and extra time, Reina saved our arses more than once, so more than made up for his blunder

I thought when the chips were down and we were chasing a third goal, Riise and momo were among the only ones stepping up and taking responsibility. Gerrard had just disappeared (took a bit to realise he was limping too at that point). Riise's stamina was a great asset to us as the game went on.

 

Didn't think nando was cack apart from the precision of his headers. He came in and held up the ball, something Crouch didn't. Was he injured too? Very weird substituion at that time.

 

Gerrard.. what a pass to Cisse, very cool finish for the second and what a goal, what a goal, for the third. I was stunned.

Have to agree fully. Riise got a bit better late on but still was way off the pace. Maybe havng a hurt Harry in front of him didn't help. Finnan on one leg was awesome. Pure technical ability.

Riise didn't start well, tbh, but over 120 minutes, he stood the distance and right now the last 60 minutes of the minutes are a lot more vivid than the first hour to me.

Sami whilst not awesome was full of running in the game and nearly won the game with a great turn and shot. best of the defence for me, momo and gerrard stood out in mid and up front? Think we can all see where the money will be spent

Im with B9 on this one, Riise started of bad, but during ET his stamina kept going while others werent able to run.

 

Kronkamp deserves a mention kept there defence occupied.

 

But at the end of the day they worked as a team and they all contributed!!!
