Sami Nasri left winger for Marseille, very young and very talented. Heard a whisper, apparently we've had scouts watching him several times. Would cost around 10 mil. Anyone else heard anything?

Don't know, but the guy who told me was the same guy that told me we were going to sign Agger, way before any media picked it up. Apparently he shares agent with Agger and Kahlenberg, and since Kahlenberg might be going to marseille as a replacement for Nasri who was scouted by Liverpool, I thought the link was strong enough to post. Nasri can also play on the right and in the center.

Nasri will be a quality player, he's not a left winger though - not even left footed. He's an attacking midfielder in the Aimar mould, would be a good signing.

I am anxiously awaiting the ABCAFTs 'Annual Bruno Cheyrou Award For French Talent', to be hosted by Stevie H, to find out if this guy is worth signing...

 

The only player in France I've seen enough of to be enthusiastic about is Ribery, and he's so ugly I'm not sure I want him here anyway.

 

There doesn't appear to be that much young talent coming through over there at the moment...

Excellent player, and probably the biggest talent in France (I rate him well above Ben Arfa). He's only 18 years old, but he's been a regular for Marseille for two years now.

 

As for Ribery being ugly; he was in a serious car accident a few years back, and he looks the way he does because of the injuries he got in the crash.

 

There are four players in France I think are worth signing: Diarra (Lyon), Abidal (Lyon), Nasri (Marseille) and Ribery (Marseille).

Diarra is quality but it's the one position in which we don't need to sign, Abidal I'm not sure about myself, Nasri I haven't seen anything of (or haven't noticed him I suppose), but Ribery I think could give us a lot.

 

He is a diving, cheating little fella but he reminds me a bit of Beardsley in his play as well as his looks. I mean he's got some scarring down one side of his face from the crash but he was hardly going to be the next George Clooney regardless was he?

 

Stop trying to make me feel guilty - I'm sure he has no problems with the ladies despite his features...
