in all the speculation about how the club will afford interest payments, players stadium etc one factor seems to have slipped off the radar. From this season the club's revenue will jump up due to the new sky and overseas tv deals, its estimated that the league winners income from TV will jump from £30 million to approx £50 million. On that basis comparing last years corporate accounts with future years is not really comparing apples with apples. There will be close to an additional £20 Million in revenue, and as there are no addtional overheads other than player contracts, most of that revenue will drop to the bottom line. That money doesnt make us any more competative as everyone will get it, but it will plug a very big hole in the accounts. Edit: just had a quick look and in 2005 our turnover was £121 million and in 2006 it was £119million so at a stroke we have increased our future revenues by approx 16-17%.
