Stick your head back in the sand now. Takeovers have happened all over the premiership the last few years......all done reasonably well.....yet somehow, Liverpool FC....the most successful club in England ended up with these dimwits. Even Abramovich looks good compared to these clowns.

why can't you get that its not about net spend? Its about pointing out that the owners have not invested much (relatively speaking in the club. So why this loyalty? Two rich guys showed up and used your own money to buy the club.......while they sit in their million dollar mansions laughing at the poor saps who pay for their ventures......said poor saps are busy defending them on internet fora......

We didn't spend any more money (net) than usual over the summer They bought the club literally for nothing.......since the club now pays for the takeover...which by the way they publicly said THEY WOULD NOT DO They cleared the 80 million debt then put 5 times that amount on the club debt As things stand, they have invested very little in the club (relatively speaking) and some people are acting as if we owe them blind faith. I'm not a season ticket holder but how do you guys feel about the fact that your hard earned money is going to pay for G&H's takeover of the club.........not for the stadium, not for transfers.....but just so that G&H can call themselves owners and shove Rafa around

umm, the number of changes is irrelevant. Look at who remains in the squad for the most part (when available).....the key players Ronaldo, Scholes, Rooney etc etc

As someone else said, rest Torres for the Carling cup s***e not for league games, Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal all won by playng their top players consistently. They all rested players yes from time to time, but lets face it, not ONE of them did it to the extent rafa is doing now and certainly NOT at the start of the season when momentum and confidence are so important

We saw no tangible benefit from Rafa's rotation policy last year. Our players certainly did not look any fitter than anyone elses.

Apparently we bought him to bring the CL trophy back to anfield. Forget the league....... Leaving Torres out of two league games just to play him int he CL is criminal especially if we fail to win both games.

Swap the teams for the two games and we certainly would not have done any worse..... but more likely better

Possiblly anecdotal. Its not just about the stats that Walrus posted but about which players are being rested. Gerrard was the obvious exception last season in that he was almost always played. The main issue here is resting Gerrard AND Torres at the same time......... Crouch played cack but can he be blamed when he had the least creative midfield combo behind him? And a second string striker with zero pace next to him?

The top teams win championships by playing their top players every game.........this is almost without exception whether Spain, England or Italy. I'm not sure why our players need extra babying. I'm not even sure they want it.......

Fair enough, "absolutely nothing" is probably not the appropriate term. Suffice it to say the club will be paying for all of the stadium and most of the costs of the takeover..... Which makes complete sense for them to do. It just doesn't bode well that they chose to spout blatant lies to the fans because it suited their purposes. They didn't need to but they did it nonetheless.
