Finnan started to look tired towards the end of last season. arbeloas versitiliy lends himself well to the left back position, but although generally solid, i noticed both this and last season that hes been caught out a few times when playing laft back, tackling with the wring foot and getting on the wring side of defenders. In the short term Aurelio is good enough to cover left back. In the long term we need a quality replacement for leftback.

Burnley rejected a reported £250,000 bid from Liverpool for Cofie this week. But the German-born Ghanaian refused to return to training with the Clarets and they agreed he could leave Turf Moor. Burnley have inserted a 25% sell-on clause in the deal, which also gives them first refusal on any loan deal and a future friendly match with United. I think crouch has to get a run of games now, we are a different team when he plays, he creates a focal point for the attack and defenders get very tight to him creating space for our midfield. Kuyt is almost the complete opposite these days, he comes back to the congested midfield, leaving no one upfront. With Torres approachng full fitness, surley its time for the Torres and Crouch Parnership to shine? PLease Rafa you know it makes sense.
