how come we are only "scouting" players we all know? id be expecting experts to be thinking of players other than the same ones a bunch of us auld lads can state on the forum. Is there not an entire French league with strong quick lads on the cheap or do we just like waiting and paying 20 times that next year

just seen that stat again, the one where we run less than everyone. In the opening games only Villa ran less and they had 10 men. Now i now running isnt everything but we can all see how static we are at times and id suggest these players need told to get their finger out , pronto like. The bare minimum in football is matching your opponents graft and we havent been doing that for 18 months now

Newcastle sold their midfield and are still better than us in the middle! Lets see what magic Iraola can sprinkle on in this shower. Frimpong and Rio need taking off, neither is doing anything. We also need another midfielder in there to help Grav and Dom. we are faster this year but seem to have brought the same defensive issues with us

you cant expect to dominate in this league with those 2 CM, neither Slobozlai or Gravenberch are defensive enough, not even close

Grav then VVD then Ally all pathetic. Grav shouldn't have passed it, VVD should try a tackle sometime and Ally decided to mark the left hand post. Suppose we can only get better from here

i remember a commentator saying Momo had just won 4 tackles in a row and thought that was good, until i realised that after winning the ball he would inevitably take a bad touch, expose the ball and be forced to tackle again. rinse and repeat. also have a memory of Momo and Mascherano tackling each other and scaring the French lads to death

if youre only basing your views on the last few days, Jones looks like a complete walloper. Falling out with your own team mates and then that second half performance. Im not sure Iraola would be that worried about losing him for £25m. personally i still think he's a decent player, but not as good as he thinks and he definitely needs coaching on moving the ball quicker

Jones again not paying attention . At what point are we going to buy a DM ffs, we've been missing one for about 3 years now, yet still we dont seem interested. We offered £110m for Caicedo then decided nah 4 goals conceded in 45 min, oh look Jones again and every defender going for the same ball.
