God I don't give a F*CK. I was a Liverpool supporter in the 2nd div in the Shankly days through the glory years and through these lean years And I will be next year no matter what. I Love Liverpool full stop, I dream , I agonise and occasionally (lately) I celebrate, but above all I support the club, the players the manager the chairman the Chief exec the guy at the turnstyle the barmaid at the pub and will do the same next week next year next decade next lifetime -

The laugh says it all, but seeing him svcore one 'of those type' of goals sunday makes me wish ....if only -
I really don't understand the criticism of his dealing with crosses the other night. Dealt with them all apart from one in the second hal where he mis punched.Cleared the area apart from that one on some decent bloody crosses. The only difference the other night was how often the crosses where coming in from close to the touchline. They got round the back on their right far too many timkes, and Reinas strenght is dealing with a high defensive line. You cant defend high when the winger is round the back and maybe we aren't that good central defense in dealing with it. But Pepe did all he was asked to especially first half. Look at the rest ofthe league and not many keepers come for a ball on the edge of the 6 yard box with perhaps the exception of Van der Sarr who has great height and agility.

And is there every match in the main stand

An interesting article. It's easy to forget the violence that was occurring all over football throughout Europe at that time. I may, as a lot of other Reds may have done, was go into shutdown from the whole events during that period. There was a certain amount of shame felt for what had happened att Heysel and really didn't want to hear or read about anything connected to hooliganism from that day or even before it. Brought it all back reading that.

Guess we aren't the only ones moving to a new stadium

We could always buid it in Yorkshire for you.The sun never shines there

Anfield is probably becoming a souless bowl due to the supporters ageing quicker than the stadium itself. Unless there is additional capacity, new younger supporters will be lost to other attractions due to not being able to get tickets and we will be left with a dwindling geriatric support as you find in the main stand around me. Having said that I am one of those geriatrics and would love to give it my all as I used to when on the kop. Problem is my croaking off key voice is a cause of embarrassment when I'm the only one giving forth. Get some new blood into the areas that matter. Having said that the lack of a recognised 'ultra' end in the stadium is a cause of concern

There wasn't a problem with how much he cost was there? I thought it was a case we couldn't make the initial first payment to the level of what would satisfy them. We must be sticking to rigid budget allowance overall given we wouldn't pay the 1m euros for christiandopoulis up front, yet we still take a little gamble on having the champs league money to spend. Who knows whether we would have got alves had cisse not got clattered
-
I know it's not going to happen, but I would be delighted if we rang the Nest telling them we got a bit more as a downpayment

Never look a gift horse in the mouth

Didn't he say No,,,I'm only here to talk about the player we have here(Kuyt) or something on those lines
-
How come it's no surprise to read that assessment of referees. Sick to death of games being hijacked by these over inflated egos
-
Talking about his injury. Was the main reason for our blip at that time in the league and Benfica. We were sailing till then, and only got going again when he returned
-
I think as the other poster said, he is probably being non assutious. I will be here longer if the club have me.

wouldn't know, wouldn't read that crap

This bit in The Indepent stood out "The team is almost done. The board know how important this season is for us and they will try to do their best to improve the team if possible," Benitez said. "We have some young players and we have the spine of the team for the next few years and we need to add some quality players if we can." I never went with the we are skint bit, but am now convinced we are being really tight with releasing what we do have, probably with the stadium issues etc
