  1. Thread's been deleted, surprise, surprise
  2. Someone on RAWK claiming we've agreed a deal sign him. Probably b******s though
  3. What a s**** story. f***in b******s story from a clueless c***!!!
  4. Neither are good enough for us, although Pennant is much better value for money. Still think Rafa will opt for a foreign option like Prieto, Guily, Alves etc Anyway, when was the last time The Mirror got a story right? Scud missiles are known to be more accurate
  5. Exactamundo. Throw enough darts and and one or two will hit the bullseye. Some of those darts won't even hit the board
  6. That'll mean more £££ for him. Same for Djib as well
  7. I agree. It's always fun guessing who though
  8. This has been the sad reflection of our current strikeforce. Robbie, Crouch and two quality strikers, and we'll be ripping up the Premiership. My choices are still Kuyt and Huntelaar. Any of the four can play with each other up front/compliment each other
  9. If only things were that easy
  10. I read the other day that Sheff Wed want to keep Carson on loan for another 12 months Linky
  11. What more proof do you need apart from the "Highly Confidential" on the pic
  12. And the LB Gonzalez
  13. Can someone please make the appropriate change to the title of this thread: PennantEmile Debate Rages On...
  14. My choices would by Kuyt and Huntelaar. Torres is a good player, but a very high risk at the price. As for Owen, Rafa doesn't want him. Huntelaar is the lethal finisher that we need. He's just a formidable goal machine and a much lesser risk. I know Ajax purchased him in January, but money talks, and when you add Jan into the equation, it's more than a possibility. Kuyt is the other striker that we need that'll complement both Robbie and Huntelaar, who are natural finishers. He not as prolific as Huntelaar, but he's got more to his game, especially out of the box and has a tremendous work rate. He can also play alongside Crouchy, which will give Rafa plenty of options
  15. More chance of Igor returning
  16. I think that's where he'll end up, back in his homeland. Lyon have the money as well and will need another striker to replace Wiltord
  17. Because we haven't got a pot to piss in
  18. For me it'll depend on whether Gooners get three points at City on Thursday. If they lose, that's the only way we'll be on Sky
  19. Didn't we win the first leg 3-0?
  20. I can see this happening because all of Rafa's other targets on the right are ridiculously overpriced. Pennant for £4-5m would represent fantastic business.
  21. Gooners play at Man City on Thursday. I don't think they'll get the win they need, so 4th place will be done and dusted
  22. Can't see Rafa opting for Alves at RB, only RW. If Jan leaves, he'll go for someone a lot more defensively solid like Bonera etc
  23. Can I ask all you people who thinks Morientes is staying, why? Has he done the business? No Has he looked remotely like doing the business? No I'm sure Rafa is an intelligent man. We spent a hell of a lot of money thinking/hoping he would do what he did at Madrid/Monaco. He's just turned 30, and it's gonna be our last chance to get any decent money for him. Rafa has proved with Josemi that he's not afraid to ship out "his" failures
  24. Agree with you on goalkeepers and left backs. Think Warnock will stay though and he'll be happy with that. Aurelio from what I've seen is very injury prone. I personally think Jan will stay and deputise Finnan, so RB is also sorted. Barragan also coming through that could fill in there if needed. Please Rafa, no more centre backs LW is sorted as well. Kewell, Gonzalez and Zenden. Not sure whether or not Zenden will be happy with third choice though. He can also cover in centre. CM - Without Momo we look a completely different side. Can see Didi leaving and another more "high octane" CM brought in. Rafa rumoured to have agreed a deal for Argentine Leandro Daniel Somoza. RW - I think this is the most clouded position in terms of who's coming in. A lot will depend on what system Rafa will adopt for next season in terms of Stevie's role in the team. There is not one outstanding candidate for me. Personally I would choose Guilly, if he decides to leave Barca. Strikers - This is where the majority of our money will go me thinks. Would be delighted with both Kuijt and Torres. I like Torres and he's still very young, but I'd choose Ajax's Huntelaar, who is simply just a goal machine. I know Ajax have only just signed him, but will find it hard to refuse a big money offer from us. Wouldn't it be nice if Rafa's got some spare cash left over after all the buying and selling, for him to bring in Aguero as well
  25. High - dumping Manc t***s out of the FA cup Low - Benfica and what could have been
