Seriously though, I know Hyypia's a slow starter, but if he doesn't improve we should be looking at Carragher and Agger as 1st choice. Sheff United championship players rang rings round him.
A lot of new players as well, asking a lot. Aurelio, Agger, Kromkamp, Zenden, Gonzalez, Bellamy, Fowler, Sissoko, Pennant all arrived in the last 12 months and all figured.
And we're already 2 points behind with a tough run of games to come. More than possible we could lose to Everton/United/Chelsea, and Spurs/Bolton/Newcastle won't be a walk in the park. I'm over-reacting but we could soon see ourselves in the same position as last year, where we've lost the league by the end of Sep if we don't buck our ideas up. If we can get through the tough up and coming games and still be within 6-9 points, we'll have a chance, but it'll be tough.
What annoys me, is that unlike Arsenal who attacked and attacked and got a draw, i honestly can't say we were the better side, or even if we were, only slightly. If someone had said before the game we'd draw, i'd have said it would be one of those games where nothing goes for you, and we have 30 odd attempts, but we looked very ordinary in all departments
I'm not over confident we can beat WHam, they're a very good side, and with CL midweek it could take it out of us and force Rafa to play a weakened side. With Kuyt probable to start, we'll need him to have a good game.
PL is so tough this year, I wouldn't be shocked if our points total from last year is enough to win it. There are so many teams that could take points from the top lot. We need to get a grip as I hope the shield win hasn't gone to our heads.
