Yes - this should have been in the Gareth Barry thread!

Think I've read somewhere he's been linked with Utd and Arsenal if they sell Ronaldo and Adebyor respectively. Certainly unlikely to be us - he'd go for £25M ish probably.

NOTW also reports that Rafa is prepared to pay £10M for Riera.

No one will pay the reported £24M they want for Arshavin....except maybe Chelsea.

The two new main strikers comment is interesting.

Yes I should think so

I'm looking forward to the "he's not that good...we had his best years" comments from Spurs fans once we sign him though

Some mouth watering games there

Yes indeed I've not read this anywhere else of note though.

Guardian Rumour Mill saying we're preparing a £25M bid for David Villa - no quotes though of course!

he was unlucky with injuries and you can't blame him for that but to say he was a good servant to the club is a bit of a stretch. He hardly ever played for the club.

Linked to Arsenal in todays NOTW.

NOTW saying Arsenal are favourites to land Huntelaar and no mention of us.

It was Kaizer and he's got the stats to prove it.

Its a wonder you still have time to come on here so often and talk sh*t Can't leave much time to spend with the lady in your lif...oh I see.

If he acted like/admitted he was being hypocritical, would he still be hypocritical??

yes that extra £2M we'll get will swing the balance in the Silva or David Villa transfer

Regarding the comments that Rafa is giving up on the idea of wingers - Spain usually had Iniesta out wide in the Euros - not a classic winger by any stretch (although a great palyer none the less). They had Silva on the opposite flank who is more of a winger obviously but I'm not sure that having 2 wingers is the be-all and end-all that some people seem to think.

I suspect Rafa cares...quite a bit!

Not an awful lot going on the transfer front in general at the moment which is why the media are sticking with this tiresome Barry saga. In fact, its not really all that different from a lot of transfer tussles except that the media have whipped it up. Hence Barry does an interview, gets punished for it and that creates another story. Self perpetuating s*** journalism....again. MON has been a t*t as well of course! Edit: Oh and Kaizer is also being a bit of t*t too.

Is Xavi better than Jimmy Bullard though, Kaizer?

I think it has to be the former. Even a clueless muppet wouldn't say Scharner or Jones is abetter player than Keane. Absolute madness (or a total wind-up)

But Kenwyne Jones, Scharner, Carew etc etc etc are????? Perhaps you could roll out some stats to prove that Jones is a class above Keane?
