We were never worse off for £50 million net spend under rafa and we had a pretty systematic style of play. Selections, subs and silverware I'll grant you. Important note: I'm not advocating the sacking of kenny OR the hiring of rafa by making the above point.

Yes his first game was awful, but he was pretty decent for a season or so. Not great, just... decent.

I think maybe once or twice. For me, Skrtel started off well, got rubbish, and then recently got amazing. Quite a journey.

But it's accurate. He doesn't say "Because he wasn't good enough then, and maybe he is now" because that would be right too.

He was foaming at the mouth in the first half.. Did over enrique a few times though. Skrtel & Kells were magnificent. I keep repeating this but it's really difficult for me to believe how much better he is. It's ever greater than lucas levels of improvement. I always thought there was a player in the lev, but Skrtel utter turd for a long time.

Undoubtedly. One way to address that problem would have been to spend £35 million (+downing, adam) more wisely.

Ledders is looking old and pained and they lost dawson last night. Maybe. It would be totally on brand for spurs to choke and us to fluke getting 4th.

Isn't that what we've always needed? If you were asked last year wouldn't you say the same thing? The main progress is that we now have a first choice left back, and hopefully with Robbo coming through we'll have an excellent second option. The progress of Skrtl has been remarkable.
