Was thinking the same. Actually wasn't impressed with Sturridge at all.

The first goal was aggers fault, although I was surprised we didn't have someone at the back post. Losing his man at set pieces seems to be his thing at the moment. Also giroud has s*** hair. The second goal was very difficult to stop. The problem is that we didn't score enough.

If Ince is playing and scoring in the championship I think it's reasonable to assume he's used to dealing with a physical game. We do need some more muscle though especially in midfield and defence.

I doubt anyone is suggesting that £20 million could have been more usefully spent on anything, I agree with knox though, to be able to come out of the downing incident without the 'unmitigated disaster' label would be a relative success compared to where we were with him 6 months ago.
