I've noticed in the last couple of home games that he's becoming more confident on the pitch, directing others in their positioning and geeing up his team mates. He was ordering Masch about at one stage on Sunday.

And you think that clueless, gutless Babel would have improved our performance? Well each to their own I suppose. Was it Babel’s slight improvement last week from a pitifully low base that convinced you? Maybe Maxi didn’t provide touchline hugging width but he gave us more in several areas than Babel would give us in a month of Sunday kick offs.

Maxi over Babel was the correct choice and completely vindicated by a performance the like of which Babel has failed to deliver in 99% of his Liverpool games.
