Went to the game last night. Crowd was good - 47K they announced, more than at the Argentina - Bolivia game on Tuesday. Brooks played very well. US Defended pretty good, Ecuador really seemed to only start trying to attack in the 2nd half. Jones got sent off for putting his hands on an opponents face. New rule they are using - straight red

Well I saw that at some stands and not at others. So went to one without it! Suckered !!

Back in Seattle. My choice of staying in bad sackingen which looked closes ended with a 170 euro taxi ride. Which was cheap I guess considering be turned off the meter with 12km to go! Had a great trip. Met a bunch of great reds from all over. Flight from Frankfurt to Zurich I was sat beside 2 guys form liverpool. and 3 Finns were behind us. Walking into find my seat I ran into the 2 Liverpool lads. And then the Finns were sat right in front of me in the stadium. Didn't see any trouble in town. But it sure looked like a s***hole and i feel sorry for anyone who had to work at cleaning It up. There were amusing scenes below me before the game started. Behind the goal where fans were having a standoff and the police and stewards had no idea what to do. Also loved buying 2 beers in the stadium only to be told it was non alcoholic. This 13 day gap between the semi and final is nuts, leaves hardly no time to sort things out. be it travel or flights.

We have nine games, hopefully, and we have enough ways to be always challenging in each game. This is a similar formation to the one we played a week ago, so this is normal, we are in a normal rhythm. Every four days, it’s really difficult but when we can do it like this... hopefully we can do this until the end of the season. Tonight I expect the highest intensity, everyone will look for a challenge and hopefully for us we win them.
