  9. I quoted another guys post, not yours. Do you rate hamman very highly? Because every great team needs a workhorse, he is a fantastic asset to the team. Also Cara thought he was the teams best player towards the start of the season. I see what you are doing here, I took the bait
  10. A basic grasp of football mate. Tackles Tackle % Apps 1 Mohamed Sissoko 130 69% 16(4) 2 Xabi Alonso 126 73% 23(6) 3 Steven Gerrard 91 69% 28
  11. Aye we underrate alot of our players. Finnan and crouch being prime examples, also Momo too, lets tie this back in with the thread
  12. Off topic. I'd have Xabi at CB before Stevie.
  13. Yeh, i cannot be forgotten just how quick he has settled in, his age and also, maybe not seen by some, his constant steady improvement throughout the season. His discipline has improved, his passing and his confidence on the ball. HE hit the bar after a weaving run through the middle earlier in the season, if that had went in more people would raving about him(Superficial i know but its the stuff people like to see). I think he is fantastic, and compliments alonso better than gerrard does.
  14. At that age stevie could pick a better pass and had a cleaner shot. Didnt run quite as much as him though.

    Take over

I think it's a s*** hole. It's nice to go to the match wothout walking past boarded up houses with "Kerry the smackhead sucks c**k" painted on every other door.
  19. LIVERPOOL v WEST BROM Barclays Premiership Saturday, April 01 Live on Prem Plus 5.15pm, Prem Plus Channel 480 (KO 5.15pm) West Brom were robbed against Spurs, there's no doubt about it, but there were plenty of positives from the game - and they have to take them into this one. I like the look of the young centre-half Curtis Davies, I liked the way they passed the ball and squeezed the game, and I thought the keeper Tomasz Kuszczak played ever so well - until he made an absolute pig's ear of that backpass at the end. That is what happens when you're in West Brom's position. That is just pressure, simple as that. Harry Redknapp said on the night that's always the way it is when you're down there and it always seems to happen when you're fighting for your lives. But there's a reason for that: teams down there almost expect it to happen. I could see West Brom dropping deeper and deeper in the last 10 minutes of the first half even though Spurs hadn't really created anything of real quality. You could see them waiting to get in at half-time and I remember thinking if this is what it's like in the first half, what the hell's it going to be like in the second. Then in the second half you could see them sinking further and further back and although the first Spurs goal was a sublime finish and a great pass, they almost invited it on themselves. They cannot afford to play like that again and I hope we see them be a lot more positive against Liverpool. It's easy for me to say sat in the Soccer Saturday studio, but I think they have to go for it. You're as well going down giving it a real go - and I think Bryan Robson is of the same philosophy. Of course, Liverpool are more than capable of picking them off on the counter attack, but West Brom simply cannot afford to play with that fear again. But, a bit like Birmingham before them, they are up against a side who are feeling pretty good about themselves and are of course, scoring goals again. Rafa Benitez's side tends to start games with the belief in being a little cautious and holding positions but if they can get forward, then doing so. Every manager would love to come flying out of the blocks, but football is about adapting and Liverpool do, for all my reservations, do that quite well. I can see them happy to keep possession and maybe try and take some of the early sting out of the West Brom players and supporters. And if West Brom show any fear Liverpool, like any good side, will smell it and they will make them pay. They are more than capable of picking them off on the counter-attack. The one area West Brom need to improve is holding the ball up front. No-one is as big a fan of Kanu's flicks and tricks than me, but I think Kevin Campbell has to start. If they can't keep hold of the ball, they will find Liverpool - even without Steven Gerrard's drive - more than ready to go a little direct and catch them on the break. So you can see the problems facing Bryan Robson, and you can see why this is going to be one of those real tight, tense games that the Premiership does so well. CHARLIE SAYS Away win - I am going to go for Liverpool, because I can see them profiting on the counter-attack. West Brom have to come at them, but that in itself means taking a slight chance. The one thing they have in their favour is that I don't think this will be a game where quality wins the day, because Liverpool clearly have the edge in that department. Instead this will be all about nerves, and I worry for West Brom the way they sat back against Tottenham. That's part and parcel of being in the relegation fight though and if they can overcome that, then maybe they can get something from this, because n do think it will be really tight. I'm going for Liverpool to nick it 2-1. Does Nicholas know? Liverpool to win 2-1 is 7/1 with Sky Bet. Click here for full odds! CHARLIE'S CHOICE Harry Kewell (Liverpool) - Old peachy-bum may have been playing a little better since Mrs Kewell went into the jungle, but for me the jury's still out on Harry. This season has better than last because I really thought he'd hit rock-bottom in that Champions League final, but maybe he couldn't go any lower! The trouble Harry has is we have all seen how high hio standards are when he was at Leeds. He can score with either foot, he can go inside and out and take people on for fun and he puts a decent cross in. But there has never been any questioning his ability - to me he doesn't really want to impose himself on games any more. An away game against a struggling side should be made for him. He scored that stunner in the derby, so let's see if that can liven him up and see if he can really get going.
