growler

Obviously all caveats with it being Ipswich etc, but not minding a 5am wake up and ready to do it again during the week is the biggest endorsement.

Yeah he’s got the skill. He clearly had confidence knocked out of him with Slotball and World Cup. Yet didn’t hide, always chased and kept pushing. when it clicks, he’s going to be a game changer for us.

Highly impressive start from this kid.

With the number of players pulling left anyway, I can imagine a right footed winger in front would cover that side of the pitch when we overload, rather than rely on full back.

His movement was really good too. Popped up deeper and on the left.

work rate is great.

Really like araujo. gakpo showing he’s not a 9. That’s ok though.

Loved dom chasing back.

How is the shirt pulling not a pen?

It’s pen. Has to be.

Never mind

I’m ok with scrappy. We look comfortable with it. We didn’t last season.

Gakpo does his best as an option rather than main man maybe? Whole team been great. Can see where we going. Love the booking and niggle. Standing up for ourselves and each other. And shots on target!

That’s the Thai version.

That’s why they don’t come back to contention until they are ready. He’ll play reserve football and be fit before he steps on the field. They don’t get just fit and then find match fitness. it’ll take a few games to find his flow, but I reckon he’ll be back and firing by late Jan.

I think it’s solid… long as we don’t need a midfield or a defence.

Hughes should be banned from the club. and klopps team were one of a kind. Those quality of players aren’t anywhere in the game. City have spent a billion after their team too - haven’t replaced theirs either. our team was close to perfection. Impossible to replace.

How many of those at right back though?

Benzema too. carvajal only one I would consider.

You could argue we look short because we have a few injuries. One Leoni Gomez Bradley and ekitike fit the squad is good. still feels short in midfield regardless.

Pearce was not so happy initially so clearly he got a briefing. he’s sharing what he was told by looks of it. Im more interested in Iraola thinking. Has he got what he wants? I think he was expecting one more wide player and a midfielder.

He’ll make his debut on Friday for sure. him Wirtz isak is a little tasty! throw Munoz’s pace into the mix, with gakpo and Rio… can’t wait.

Maybe story about camara wanting Liverpool or stay at Monaco was actually true. get him And minteh in Jan and maybe we can look forward. now that window closed and can be objective, we do have a pretty decent squad. To move from a squad that did 3 European cup final, 99, 97, 92 points, and possibly best team we’ve ever had, to a new one, whilst changing manager, getting screwed by one of our own and changing owners - it’s a lot. we’re not done yet with owners to shift, new sporting office and new sponsors likely in next year, whilst transitioning from Virgil and Ali. We do seem to lacking some bite and aggression and potentially leaders. But if Iraola can bring through young players we could be set up well. doesn’t make up for the fact we could’ve made a few more steps forward if we didn’t Hughes up the window now, but at least we have some reason for optimism.

I’ll stay optimistic on the team. Barcola, Isak, gakpo, Wirtz, Rio, Munoz, ekitike will come back strong. dom, Mac, grav and nyoni will figure out the midfield. kerkez will get better. Virgil arauljo, Jacquet and Leoni will be a wall. Bradley will come back be epic. (Can’t see Frimpong making it) it’s pretty solid. Could’ve been great.

All I want for Christmas is…
