  2. Hope you not referring to me, I certainly said nothing of Neville being better than Finnan. Finnan had another immense game and is my player of the season thus far, but make up what you want. Neville had an ok game and kept Kewell fairly quiet and was one of the better Man U players, which isn't saying much and Kewell had one of his quieter games. The other 3 midfielders were better and 2 of them Hamann and Sissoko by a long way. I pity some sensitive souls who see that as Kewell baiting, as I am far too pragmatic for that, Kewell has been amongst the better players in recent games, but this wasn't one of his better games, although he wasn't bad, it just shows the great form he has been in recently

  4. As a rare visitor to Anfield - who loves to hear and join in the singing - it is noticeable that the atmosphere gets started via the kop and spreads through the rest of the ground. What irked me was you can see and hear sections of the Kop start 'We won it 5 times' etc and watch it crash and burn in the Kop. Those of you in the kop must see the apathy around you. Daytrippers are keener than anyone to soak in the atmosphere and sing along, as the rarity of the visit makes it that bit more special, but they need the regulars to kick things off. Having been to an away game this season, the condensed away support makes for a better atmosphere and that is not just Liverpool but most teams. Get yourself to an away game for the best atmosphere, otherwise at Anfield, kick that pastie out of your neighbours hand and get him singing!

  6. What are you talking about, stick to Valentine movies as you were not watching the game
  7. Stunned hearing Champagne Charlie's review of the first half saying that 0-0 was a fair result at half time..... So Arsenal got nowhere near our goal, constantly gave the ball away and yet in his view it was an even match. Why do idiots like him bother to watch matches. I don't expect total impartiality, but at least partial reality! I can't believe how poor Arsenal were tonight, the old hands in midfield were abject: Gilberto / Pires / Lungberg. Defeat to Real Madrid and I can't see Henry wanting to stay.

  9. So Shanks was a big fan of Chares of Lindos and Rafa is The God of Small Things?

  12. Whilst he'd love to start Fowler, it will not happen in a million years, as he is not fit enough.. Cisse would be less of a risk against lesser opposition, but it is more likely to be Kewell or Garcia playing off Crouch or give Moro another shot.

  17. Reading your earlier comments in this thread about imaginary goals, perhaps you could collate some stats to highlight some other offside / fantasy goals, just to show how s*** Morientes is? Thanks
  18. Alan is a more butch name than Martin though - and Curbs a good nickname compared to Jolly
  19. Put one of the Brazilian beach volleyball girls in goal, and that would stop more than any keeper could
  20. Spot on. Sometimes you lose these games and it hurts more because of the opposition and the late goal
