    Given that we’ll almost certainly have to go through at least one PL team to do that, it’s doubtful. Only chance (IMO) of winning the CL is if we improve our overall consistency and develop a solid game plan.

    Yeah, there was essentially a seafaring trading route that encompassed the Basque county, the French Atlantic coast, Brittany, Ireland & the Cumbric speaking areas of Britain - not only Wales but Cornwall and "Yr Hen Ogledd" (The Old North) - what is now Lancashire, Cumbria and the England/Scotland border.

    Pretty sure they've only even started considering it since Frimpong's injury. Baffling.

    None of him, Frimpong or Dom have looked much good in the position this season - mainly 'cos the system seems to leave the position isolated.

    This basically. Unless something really drastic happens, Slot appears to be here until the end of the season. Good couple of results, but the results have been up and down all year. Would need a consistent turnaround in form for the rest of the season for me to think he should be here beyond the summer.

    Agreed - most footballers are massive fannies like that, but he's pretty bad for laying it on thick. But it was definitely a yellow.

    The deliberate elbow on Mac A and the late challenge on Ali? I think the first was a yellow and he probably doesn't do the second (which IMO wasn't quite bad enough to be a red) if he's already had one. Given how Gordon behaved in the first game, you'd think any sensible ref gives that first yellow to try to calm him down. s***e refereeing by a perma-s***e referee.

    It's on the BBC so there must be some kind of legs to it if Ornstein's on it too. Kind of makes sense with the positions he covers, our injuries and that Slot had him at Feyernoord. Anyone know how he's been doing for Sunderland?

    Just watching the MOTD highlights. That FK that Hooper gives for a foul by Grav juts outside the box resulting in their chance that goes off the post? Dear f***ing lord..... Was lovely FK though, nicked the Mo to Trent FK routine but couldn't quite pull it off. What a shame for them

    Don't think we've got any idea what Isak might be able to do for us off the back of this season. He's obviously a very good player and I think we'll see him have a similar effect on games as Hugo has in the future, unfortunately this season with us is a write-off, which is hugely frustrating for both him and us.

    Yeah he had some really nice bursts with the ball. A lot more promising from him the last couple of games

    Definitely overall - hardly gave them a sniff second half. First half, not so much.

    We absolutely didn't deserve to be ahead at half time but Hugo just grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. They did f*** all second half 'cos that knocked the stuffing out of them.
