  1. Hernan Crespo gets caught offside more than 5 times per game, but im sure we`d all take him at the drop of a hat, getting caught offside isnt Cisses` problem, he doesnt have any confidence at the moment im not saying he`s great, not by a long stretch, but id pick him over that utter stocking Morientes every bloody time, id love to see Djib and Fowler up front, or Crouch and Djib, he`s far more dangerous than Morientes thats for sure but we still need a world class striker, BADLY
  2. im just back from work, couldnt beleive my ears when i heard that Momo was probably f***ed emenating from the wireless thank god a bit of good news, it`d be a crying shame if the lad had to retire, so bloody early in his career, he`s only 20, a nippe realy hope to god he gets better, not just for football terms, but for himself first and foremost
  3. i cant watch a game on sky if its on another channel, thankfully, RTE had the match on tonight, along with the best football punditry on the bloody planet cant stand sky, Gray is easily thr worst commentator ive ever heard their only shining light is Niall Quinn, even redders can be a bit pricky, remember him saying it was fine for his obese cousin to shush the Kop, hard to beleive an ex captain actually said that

    Agm

how f***ing great would it be to find out that Rafa is being given £50 million to spend, and all that WITHOUT a "sit tight" policy to the proposed players dream a little dream sweet heart
  5. Finnan was easily man of the match for us, in fairness, our whole defence played well, plus Xabi, the rest where still in the hotel rooms ordering x-rated movies on their plasmas
  6. yeah, i wasnt too cocky myself i must admit but to say we cant defend set pieces is utter rubbish, we defended all their previous corners, free kicks with no hassle, the lads just went to sleep unfortunatly, i was wondering about the striking problem through the game though, im beginning to think our attackers are being asked to do too much donkey work, i mean, we dont ask the defender to go and score goals, but we`re nearly expecting our forward to get the ball, create a chance, then score it, because their defiantly not getting the neccesary support from the midfield
  7. isnt the fact Gerrard is dropped not the big shock? still, it did us no harm in Seville against Betis, so why not now
  8. ive got 488, that t*** is going for 500
  9. 452 AVE IT!!!!!!
  10. surely you`re taking the piss? im alright as it will be shown here in Ireland either RTE or Tv3, but the european champions, in their homeland, are only on itv4, now thats a complete load of w***
  11. i watched the game with a mate of mine, a semi manure fan, or as i call him, the closet manure fan, he`s not super up on players and all, but he thought Sissoko was unreal and in fairness to my gimpy mate, he`s right, Sissoko has played fantastically well the last 2 games, now al he needs to do is pass the ball just half as good as Gerrard and we`ll have yet another £20 million midfielder in our ranks
  12. i dont understand slurs comments at all, he said they had to defend our set pieces well duh, you stupid t***, wtf are we supposed to do, not take our free kicks or corners, f***ing idiot, we played them off the park in every department, ffs, they didnt even force Reina into a save, what does that say about them
  13. thank f*** im not on my own, i watched the match in a fairly nice pub today, not loads of people but the few that where there where mainly liverpool fans, i was the only one freaking that we should have had a peno, Kewell was clearly inside the line (pardon the John Mcenroe pun)
  14. but mourinho didnt say it, the Rafatollah did, so its hilarious
  15. f*** it, all our strikers their a cross between the powderpuff girls, or the wolf from the fairy tale 3 piggies, we`ll huff and puff, but we wont blow your house down
  16. i wouldnt say im disappointed ,but i would have liked a proper right winger, so i voted so so
  17. Roy Keane wasnt even bought by an english club until he was 19, and he`s was the best midfielder in the premiership for the last 10 years and if im not mistaken, Frank Lampard wasnt doing much until he was around the 20 mark either

    Defoe

he`s not worth 6 fairplay to spurs so
  19. i wonder if that Paul Anderson lad is that far away from the first team?
  20. im not saying i beleive this but its makes perfect sense to do it when the team are away playing, the finance of a deal has nothing to do with Rafa, so say he`s agreed in principal to sign, then its up to him and his agent to sort out a contract with Parry id assume, not Rafa, so that wouldnt matter although, i hope the sigthing is of SWP, not too pushed with Defoe
  21. Red, you really thought Stevie played well in the first half? i thought he was abissmal in the first, his touch seemed Cissesque Xabi played pretty well, i thought Sissoko got involved alot, ok, probably didnt do exactly what we wanted(score or set up) but he wasnt half in the mix of things through out Cisse was crap, as was Crouch, he should have done better when Cisse laid that ball onto him in the first half, his volley was terrible Nando yet again defied the odds and became a new level of nothingness, Kewell was ok, he tried, defenders all played well, especially Finnan, unlucky he gave the free kick away thought the keeper played well, and really thought he had saved that header as well, unlucky, but the run had to end sometime
  22. the one the rawk lad did is pretty nifty, but i still prefer our current home top, its our best home jersey in years imo
  23. maybe it was the Toon army?
  24. i have to admit, i think we`re being far too over-critical of the lad every game theres a thread on how he played, was there anything on how crap Crouch and Nando where today, utter rubbish the 2 of them, dawson had the 2 of them in his back pocket, im not saying Djib came on and set the world alight, but he did "get involved" his first touch today he lost the ball, then ran like a greyhound to get it back, he didnt do that 3 months ago, i think he`s finally playing for the team it`ll sicken me if he goes, because i guantee he`ll be banging them somewhere else, and we`ll all be raving about him again, if i was to get rid of any of our forwards, it`d be Morientes every time
  25. if this is true that they are buying Simao just to stop us getting him ,then someone from Fifa has to make a stand, its like someone taking all the aces from a deck of cards before you play, its just not right, how on earth can this be allowed
