Chelsea away biggest game in 20 years and pub meet up
Red Lecter replied to Molby 's topic in Liverpool FC
No apparently, it was all hunky dory. Even the first 60-70 minutes. As far as I'm concerned we should be seing signs of improvement by now and we're not. We see occaisional glimpses of what Rodgers has said he's trying to do, but it's not as if he's taken over a team of pub players is it? I wasn't expecting 4th, but neither was I expecting 13th. We're failing to press effectlively, we'e almost entirely reliant on Luis for dig us out of a hole, and Sahin is doing nothing while Allen seems to constantly get caught in possession. Don't get me wrong, I was excited about signing Sahin, but what the heck are they doing in training that he ends up looking completely anonymous on the pitch. Perhaps I'm being unfair on Rodgers but his Swansea team wasn't renowned for it's goals. We might not be able to score, but we should be solid enough that we're not giving away stupid goals either. Yes we don't have enough strikers, but Rodgers is partly culpable for that. Too many on here don't seem to be able to see anything other that black and white. All I'm saying that some of the managers decisions are baffling, and there are plenty thinking the same thing. We're a long way from Hodgson territory, and I was pleased to at least see the Rodgers admimtted in the interview afterwards that he'd made a mistake. A bloke who's honest enough to hold up his hands deserves the time to get things right. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to vent you spleen if the team's performance is piss poor on a frequent basis, and I include including the manager in this. -

Agreed, we are in a bad way. But what happens if FSG DO provide funds in January? Signings so far haven't been inspiring. Borini - an unproven kid. Sahin - just a couple of years ago was supposed to be a potential star. What's happened too him since he got here. Look at the rest of the team. Is it suprising he's not performing? The others certainly aren't. Allen - been absolutely pants recently. And that before we statrt baning on about tactics and formations, etc. I'm trying very hard to be positive but the manager is not making it easy. -

Where can I claim a refund for the 5 minutes I wasted in here?

I've read about the last 7-8 pages trying to stay out of this, but where do you go with something like this? Ant, stop making s*** up. Stubborn? Brendan Rodgers refuses to work with van Gaal and then Birguistrain or any other "sporting director" role. How is that not stubborn? Previously, it was "FSG wouldn't have Rafa back because he's too stubborn to work with a DoF". Jesus Henry f***en Christ...

Have you read all 48 pages? It was certainly suggested in there if not said outright. Though having said that, I have personally heard quite a few numpties say it outright.

They don't. It's Ant's posting style - he heard something once, or thought something once....

Nope. A Norwich supporting colleague said that they were looking to buy him from whatever Spanish club own his registration.

Has anyone seen Rafa and B-Rod in the same room at the same time..?

Not saying he will, but IF he does, what's your preferred method of amputation? Just so there's no doubts afterwards. You know, just in case.

It says that : a. We need a manager who can spot and then attract good players before they become £25m+ players. b. We need a manager that can get us up and running quickly c. We need a manager that can get his players to overachieve.

I hate Dave Whelan. I wish the g******* would crawl into a hole some and shut up.

He didn't challenge Moores / Parry before H&G came into the frame. IIRC, first time he kicked off was immediately after Athens 2007. Probably the frustrations of keeping quiet for 3 years. It was obvious at the time that he was goading Moratti into giving him the boot. Commented on by the media at the time.

I'm f***ing difficult when I'm surrounded by a bunch of t***. In my spare time, I do a passable impression of a Bhuddist monk.

Goes to prove there's very few footballers out there with any brains.

No he wasn't. Just give it a rest, eh.

There's been plenty coming out with it. I said elsewhere that Spearing's deficiencies were being masked because of who he was playing with. But like any young player, I've prepared to give him time. Unfortunaetely, appart from snapping at peoples heels, he brings nothing to the table; he looks lost at time - boy playing a man's game. There's nothing about him that makes him wort persevering with, even as a squad filler. Once more, if it was only Kev and Ant...
