  1. Go f*** yourself before spouting off. Read back if you want to see the s*** that was posted about players. Same stuff that's being said about Spearing now was said about Welsh, Hamill, etc...
  2. No... people just wanted to give him time and a chance to settle. And the earlier comments about region are spot on. It's fine wanting local players in your squad, but quality should be the only marker on which they're judged. Lucas spent ages before last season being slaughtered by many - I was even having arguments with some absolute t*** during last season about him. Same with Insua Never given enough of a chance by most. Constantly blamed for being "targetted" by the opposition because of his lack of height. Never mind that he was a young lad that had been thrown in at the deep end; he wasn't local, therefore he was s***.
  3. No he wasn't. Surrounded by a team that knows what they're doing and makes up for his deficiencies doesn't mean he's good enough.
  4. The point of a squad is to use them - in big games if necessary - as it has been this season. Jay is not, and never has been good enough.
  5. It was I who asked a few pages back about Tommo86 on RAWK; he said that Clark would be leaving.
  6. Tommo86 on RAWK reckons he was told today, that Steve Clarke is off at the end of the season. What's his ITK record like?
  7. Wooooshhhhh............. Sarcasm... s'pose a smiley might have helped.
  8. Swap deal with Coates going the other way?
  9. That's not right. He said the stuff about Spearing after we won the Youth FA Cup. Interview on the pitch straight after the game.
  10. I think he said that Rafa wanted him to help out wih players he thought were slacking. Apparently the Argentinian/South American players used to do it of their own accord at Valencia. Nowt wrong with that. Plenty wrong with knobbling your own team mates beause they actually try to do what they're paid for. In a way, I wish I hadn't brought Carra's autobiography - the bloke comes across as bit of a xenophobe. Another Tommy Smith in the making.
  11. Beardsley?

A gooner said to me at work, that if I was honest, I would rather be in the CL than have won he Carliing Cup. My response was, "True, but for you, it's the be all and end all. For me, it's about being able to attract the top talent and having the extra revenue to pay for it, with the end goal of having a squad capable of giving us a real shot at the league title, followed by having a genuine chance of winning the CL, FA and Carling Cup."

    Who moved my cheese?
  14. Nah, I was referring to quotes from Carra himself. Not Tommy Smith doing his usual anti-foreigner thing.
  15. The was another article in a paper - might hve been a tabloid where he said that if he wasn't going to get first team football, he would rather move on. IIRC, hewas quoted, not just the usual "we understand...." s****.
  16. Only because of his ridiculously high wages agreed by FOP,
  17. Not quite... not only would his wages have been paid, but we also would have received a loan fee for each year he was out. Going by what I've read about other loans etc, you're probably looking at £2.5m for each year he is on loan.
  18. The story st the time was that Rafa asked Alonso whther he wold play or not, and Alonso wouldn't give him a definite answer. The game was Inter away. Rafa wanted to know one way or the other and Alonso offered to join the squad if his wife gave birth ahead of the game. At which point, Rafa decides to leave Xabi out. You can understand both sides of the argument.
  19. Henry said that in the Echo. http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/8835588.Henry___s_take_on_Carroll_deal/ I'm sure someone will be along in a minute to say it's all a lie...
  20. Right. Wrong. In fact, they can f*** off twice.
  21. Moronic thing to say.
  22. At least with man marking we know who to blame....
  23. The medial staff were given the push as a result were they not? One pretended to be something she was not - Eduardo Macia's girlfriend or something was supposed to be involved in the assement of his injuries. Was found out and binned. Phew... I thought I'd imagined the whole thing for a moment.

I was told that on another forum by someone who got a lot of stuff right, that the deal included his wages.

Of course he's entitled to his opinion, just saying the way he used to be on here after every defeat was nuts. As someone once said, "Opinions are like a******s. Everyone has one and they all stink."
