Song for Rafa ----- Since you been Gone - by Rainbow Whhooaa, whhooaa, whhooaaaa I get the same old dreams, same time every night Fall to the ground and I wake up So I get out of bed, put on my shoes, and in my head Thoughts fly back to the break-up These four walls are closing in Look at the fix you've put me in Since you been gone, since you been gone I'm outta my head, can't take it Could I be wrong, but since you been gone You cast the spell, so break it Oooohhh - Whhooooaaa - Ooooohhh Since you been gone So in the night I stand beneath the back street light I read the words that you sent to me I can take the afternoon, the night-time comes around too soon You can't know what you mean to me Your poison letter, your telegram Just goes to show you don't give a damn Since you been gone, since you been gone I'm outta my head, can't take it Could I be wrong, but since you been gone You cast the spell, so break it Oooohhh - Whhooooaaa - Ooooohhh Since you been gone If you will come back Baby you know You'll never do wrong Huhhhhh Since you been gone, since you been gone I'm outta my head, can't take it Could I be wrong, but since you been gone You cast the spell, so break it Oooohhh - Whhooooaaa - Ooooohhh Ever since, you been gone Since you been gone, since you been gone I'm outta my head, can't take it Since you been gone, since you been gone

The similarities to when Blackburn were relegated by Hodgson are uncanny. Serious pressure on now.

How long before NESV can be expected to act?
Couldbe replied to SkippyjonJones's topic in Liverpool FC
Hodgson must have incriminating photo's of the owners -
Different in some respects, a whole lot cuter and more media savvy. The only solution for the club is the club to be owned by the fans.

Hodgsons chickens home coming to roost.

And well he should by resigning !!!!

That Dion Fanning quote about in 6 months time the Benitez era would be like golden age, is seriously accurate. I f Liverpool thought this season was bad, the summer may have them looking back wistfully. The release of their latest financial figures might shake some sense into those who think that Rafael Benitez's possible departure will make things better. Liverpool, as the figures show, are in great peril. In six months, the Benitez era will seem like a golden age.

FSG = Feckin Stupid Gits We have a strategy , trust us, blah , blah blah. Well they now have some serious earning to get our respect , have seriously screwed up.

Agree: When Kenny wanted to come back a few months after he resigned due to the pressures of Hillsborough the club made the mistake of not allowing him back. I know its the Not the same but are we not repeating the same mistake in not allowing the option to be considered of Rafa coming back

Whoever is the manager he has to stand up for Liverpool FC and the soul of football in England. So Tony Pulis also recalls Danny Pugh and Michael Tonge early from their loan spells at PNE. Strange exodus at crucial time for PNE. Plus why was Gary Neville not sent off yday? The full transcript of Rafael Benítez's rant at Sir Alex Ferguson Irked by the Manchester United manager's observations about the fixture table, Rafael Benítez erupted during a press conference Benitez Rafael Benitez unleashed a furious outburst at Alex Ferguson. "I was surprised by what has been said, but maybe they [Manchester United] are nervous because we are at the top of the table. "But I want to talk about facts. I want to be clear, I do not want to play mind games too early, although they seem to want to start. But I have seen some facts. On 1 November, they played Hull and Mr Ferguson had a two-match touchline ban and a £10,000 fine after confronting Mike Dean, the referee, for improper conduct. "We started the Respect campaign, and that was when [Javier] Mascherano was sent off [last season] at Old Trafford. The referee [steve Bennett] was the referee when they played against Wigan – he could not see the handball against Wigan by Rio Ferdinand, he did not give a penalty. They won the game and they won the title in this game. I think it will be the same referee who will be in charge of their game in hand this season [against Wigan]. "During the Respect campaign – and this is a fact – Mr Ferguson was charged by the FA for improper conduct after comments made about Martin Atkinson and Keith Hackett. He was not punished. He is the only manager in the league that cannot be punished for these things. "Then he was talking about the fixtures. Two years ago we were playing a lot of early kick-offs away on Saturdays when United were playing on Sundays. And we didn't say anything. Now he is complaining about everything, that everybody is against United. But the second half of the season will see them playing at home against all the teams at the top of the table. It is a fantastic advantage. "But at Christmas, United played on the 29th and the rest of the teams played on the 28th. We were away against Newcastle two days after playing Bolton. They were playing about 40 hours later, they were not complaining then. "And about his behaviour with referees. The Southampton manager he knows how Mr Ferguson works and how he works, he was very clear. I am not playing mind games, just facts. "If he wants to talk about fixtures, and have a level playing field as you say in England. There are two options if we don't want more problems with fixtures. One is the same as in Spain, the draw for the first part of the league is known, everyone knows which weekend. In the second half everyone plays the opposite, so you all know. Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United. "Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple. "We know what happens every time we go to Old Trafford and the United staff. They are always going man to man with the referees, especially at half-time when they walk close to the referees and they are talking and talking. "All managers need to know is that only Mr Ferguson can talk about the fixtures, can talk about referees and nothing happens. "We need to know that I am talking about facts, not my impression. There are things that everyone can see every single week. "Are they under pressure? Maybe they were not thinking that we would be at the top of the table in January. But we are at the top of the table and they are nervous. "I am not telling the authorities what to do. But I have been here for five years and know how things are going on. I will be watching United's game with Chelsea. The result does not matter to us, if we win at Stoke that result does not matter. "I was surprised United wanted to start the mind games too early, maybe it is because we are top of the table. But I only wanted to explain our position. "It is a massive difference to play early on a Saturday, say, after a European match in midweek. But they will play the second half of the season with home matches against the other top teams, and that is a massive advantage to them. "They cannot complain about the fixtures after they were playing on 29 December while the rest played on the 28th. "I have decided that I had a lot of information and I have been watching every single week what has been going on. Then they started talking about us, but every single week we know they will be talking. But we want to stay at the top and maybe they will talk about us right to the end. "To hear someone talking when he has problems with referees every single week, and now complaining about the fixtures and complaining about everything, I think that is not fair. "You can see every single week how they put [referees] under pressure, we know this. We have seen it before. We have seen players sent off at Old Trafford and we do not see our opponents sent off. It is part of the game. But to complain and to always have an advantage is not fair. "We had a meeting in Manchester with managers and FA about the Respect campaign. And I was very clear, forget the campaign because Mr Ferguson was killing the referees, killing Mr Atkinson, killing Mr Hackett. But he is not punished. How can you talk about the respect campaign and criticise the referee every single week? You can analyse the facts and come to your own decision and ideas."

Maybe not but the man is seriously backed up by the SKY footie establishment
-
Been a right fight back today by Hodgsons camp. Times saying he has until the summer to turn it around. SKY saying give him time to rebuild. Cole saying players are behind him. Bloody scary.
-
I dont think Coyle is a runner. Too much flavour of the month about him. Plus could you imagine the reaction in Europe if he was appointed Manager by players and clubs. Owen who? It has to be somebody with serious respect in the game at the moment. Similar when Rafa was appointed.

After the 1998 WC the trend was all french, then for the last 6 years its been mainly Spanish players and coaches, so latest trend is German coaches and players after the last WC and success of their young coaches in the German league. Borussia Dortmund's Jurgen Klopp ticks all FSG selection criteria.

Delighted if we get Metzelder. Similar standard to Vidic.
-
I hope its not Deschamps.

Saw this on RAWK for what its worth: Elijero Elia and Wolfswinkel has agreed to join Liverpool according to a very very close source to Damien Comoli Going Dutch...
-
Its pointing towards Frank Rijkaard, he is the only one available now on that list of potential candidates.

This is what Kenny said. "Let's just press the pause button and throw all our efforts and energies into one basket," he told the Liverpool Echo . "Everyone - whether players, supporters, staff or whatever - has to throw everything towards the one aim and that is to get us three badly needed points from the game against Bolton today. "Because if everyone sticks together we'll have a better chance of getting those three points. Then if we want to have a discussion after that, we can. But the three points for the club is more important than any single person and how they feel. "It is about Liverpool Football Club right now - not about any individual. So let's forget the issues today and concentrate on getting those three points. If everybody does their job properly; if everybody sticks together; if the players excite the fans and the fans support the players and everyone is led in one direction, then we should get the result. "But without everybody being on the same page, it will make it a bit more difficult."
-
Good win against a well drilled team. Hodgson situation has to be cleared up ASAP by FSG. This discussion that Kenny referred to needs to happen. Who picked and give directions to todays team as it was like night and day from the Wolves game. Why was Agger taken off at the end and the Greek sent on? Was Hodgson going route 1 again? This only highlights the problem with Hodgson. Why was Agger not picked before? For a player out for weeks , without match practice he looked and played well today. This game and result has opened up a lot of questions.

The performance by the team has no cohesion or fluidity...
-
Hmmm ... who thinks that Hodgson picked this team on his own?
-
Play to his friends in the gallery plus he will have scores to settle. This is going to get so messy. Its like one serious car crash in slow motion.
