He is a Liverpool player first and foremost and as long as he gives it all for the club and the team he cant be faulted. The club will look after him and if he returns the loyalty by looking after himself he will do well here. As for the England national team and Capello I think Caroll knows now who his friends are in that set up and hopefully like Scholes and Messi he will see its a waste of time giving his all (100%) for international football and that the highest level of football is at Champions League level. He needs to give his all for the club, (as I am sure he does,) for this season and next season for sure along with club he will be at Champions League level and show to European football what he is all about.

In some cases you have to take players at their word, in the case of Pepe & Xabi who have said they love Liverpool FC and the city and would never go to MUFC, as they understood the rivalry. In other words they have a certain honour and would respect LFC by not doing the unthinkable. Regarding recruiting Xabi again, it would make sense for 2 years , ignoring the age issue, he would fit in again seamlessly and act as mentor to Hendo, and if we are serious about pushing for the title, never mind a CL spot, he would be key, If we get him back, then at last we are serious about the title and not as before where it aimed for it but deep down we doubted we would do it and we settled for a CL spot.

He did but my point is if he was in a situation in having to choose between a player like Wallcott or Downing or Ramsey versus Mata or Martinez with the transfer budget he could have had under FSG I reckon he would have went for Mata or Martinez. Better value for money, without the English tax.

Its obvious we are trying to get rid and agents in Italy are struggling to make a deal workable for us and Italian clubs, eg linked to Milans Cassano , so in this case were they offering Cassano as part of the deal for Aqualiani ?? Same applies for Zapata of Udinese , again was Aqualiani included as part of that package, hard to know but he wants to stay in Italy , so Italian clubs are not loaded with cash, so we need to drop price to move him on.
