I loved his reaction to Drobga's elbow. I'm paraphrasing here, but I believe something along the lines of: "You elbowed me you chav b*****d. That's twice now. Do it again and you'll be playing golf with Tiger permanently. And get yer hair cut you t***."

We may be. Not because we dropped points, but it looks like scoring is going to be an issue again this season. I know it's only four games, but it's just so eerily similar.

Just watched it. How sad is that one? Most of the time I just watch and laugh or smile remember the good times, and so do Bascombe, Bishop, etc. But this one was just somber all around. Everyone's body language saying "it was great, if only it had lasted". Evern Riise and Hyypia still seem down about it. Just a non-optimal situation for everyone, wasn't it?

I dunno about that. Considering the two of them like to roam and that Ballack and Lampard love popping up in the area between midfield and the centerbacks (and taking twelvety shots a game each), it could be a problem. Unless Rafa puts one of those shock collars on Momo or Stevie

We all know Rafa is going to shock us. Anyway, my bet is: Finnan Carra Agger Warnock Stevie Xabi Big Mo Bellamy Luisito Kuyt Istanbul-esque isn't it? You get a nice strong midfield, ultimate tactical flexibility to switch to a 4-5-1, 4-4-2, etc throught the game, and jammy goals on the ready from Luis.

I disagree. Momo was great and is developing at an astonishing rate in all aspects of his game. One of the thigns I watched for yesterday was how he dealt with receiving the ball in a tight situation. He almost always had a first good touch which created space and found a decent option. Almost every game he brings something new to the table that he hasn't before - whether it's some new level of composure or a bit of skill (that backheel/drag to Gerrard was fantastic). It's a case of 5 steps forward and 1 step back with him and it's wonderful to see. He is going to be world class within 3 years. There, I've said it - laugh at me if you want, I don't care.

He defends well enough eventually, but I think his style is less stable and predictable than Riise's and so that worries Sami a bit which leads to him going out of position and then Carra getting worried, etc, etc. That's not all Aurelio's fault, but it just seems to be a fact.

Agreed. Played like a lion as usual and that nifty touch to set up Stevie G was Ronaldinho-esque.
