I don't know if I agree. Harry Kewell last season was symbolic of Liverpool as a whole last season - neat touches, solid, but by-and-large not incisive. I think that's something Speedy brings to the table which could be valuable. He (Gonzalez) is in no way better at retaining posession than harry, or more gifted with the ball at his feet, but there are 3 or 4 times each game when he gets at the other team - gets in the box, causes some panic, hits a screamer that can generate a rebound, etc - which are invaluable. Back in the day Harry Kewell did the same, but now I think it's a much smaller part of his game.
