  1. Yeah, funny but true
  2. He played very little for Spartak, mostly sat on the bench because of the limit on foreigners in Russia
  3. As I understand, different people reporting it, the fee is agreed. The last obstacle is schedule of payments, Kolomoysky the owner of Dnipro wants all the money straight away
  4. Also Yevgeny.
  5. Not at all. Arshavin is a fat lazy b*****d Konoplyanka not only skillful but also works very hard for the team
  6. By the way his name is YevgenY or Zhenya in Russian don't know why English media call him Yevgen
  7. He is the most talented player from former Soviet Union, I d say the biggest talent since Shevchenko. Rightfooted but can play also with a left foot, pacey, very skillful, cracking shot. He was btw the best player from both teams in the matches between England and Ukraine
  8. This Ukrainian journo is saying Konoplyanka deal will be done in several minutes
  9. Its not my first post may be the stats don't show old posts. But its my first post for a while thats true. Hopefully I brought good news, Konoplyanka is a cracking player!
  10. This guy, a top Ukrainian journo with big connections, also thinks the deal is still on
  11. Thats not true. They won the league on the last day and only cause Roma f*cked up vs Sampdoria. Mourinho is really the luckiest manager ever. Btw, I think Rafa would certainly be an improvement on Hodgson but I d like someone else to have a go. Frank Rijkaard and Marcelo Bielsa are not employed at the moment...
  12. We can do a lot worse than to appoint Roberto Martinez now. His teams always play positive football, he knows well both British and European transfer markets. I think he can do well at a big club.
  13. Roy Hodgson: "We played some very good football today". After such words he should be sacked immediately.
  14. Both pens were valid but the key moment of the game was Babel sending off when he shoul ve sent off Luizao instead.
  15. Well compared to others, particularly Bennett and Mason, Webb is not bad...
  16. I don't like Mourinho's style of football but more importantly (I can live with that if he brings success) I doubt he can turn us around, He won titles with financially dominant clubs (Porto, Chelsea and Inter) in their respective leagues. Our situation is a bit different...
  17. If Rafa goes I would prefer Rijkaard or may be... Morten Olsen, Why not? He did very well with Denmark considering talent at their disposal. But after the World Cup he wants to return to club management. His previous record in club football is mixed, won championships in Denmark and Holland (with Ajax), failed in Germany but.. at least we'll play attacking 4-3-3 (same with Rijkaard), all the journos would like us. And Kjaer would join us for sure. Also Olsen is relatively cheap. big bonus in our situation. And please no Mourinho, Hiiddink (greedy c*nt) or british managers like Moyes or O'Neill.
  18. I don't understand all this obsession with Hiddink. He has done relatively well with some sh*t national teams (though failed to qualify for the World Cup with Russia against tiny Slovenia) but in club football his record is far from perfect. If I am not mistaken in Spain he didn't last more than a season at any club. Rafa made some costly mistakes but I don't agree that he lost the plot. I don't think we are playing that bad, we just had terrible luck. But I am certain we ll improve in the second part of the season like we always do.
  19. Still think we'll comfortably finish in the top 4. Even without Gerrard and Torres we are much better than Spuds and City and its only a matter of time when our luck will turn. Btw, I still haven't lost all hope about us winning the league. Of course its highly unlikely but stranger things happened in football, Istanbul...
  20. f*ck off Marriner. All 50/50 balls in the second half in favour of mancs
  21. I don't like this ref at all. Not cause of the stats though obviously they are favouring mancs but cause I still remember some of our matches with this c*nt in charge. For ex, Reading game where he gave them a soft penalty, didn't give us a stone-waller on Torres and in general allowed Reading defenders to kick Torres as much as they wanted. I am not buying the theory that all refs are corrupt or frightened by Whiskynose but this guy definitely is either corrupt or hates us. I simply can't believe Premier League ref can be that sh*t!
  22. I think Zuiverloon have a potential to become a competent rightback. Certainly not good enough for us at the moment but he is still very young especially for a defender. May be Downing as a back-up also. But thats all probably.
  23. Yeah, nothing wrong with passionate players. But an overzealous referee would send off Carra for that. I thought his reaction was at least over the top.
  24. With a bit of spare time today I decided to look how our record this season in terms of assembled points compare with records of our great teams from the past. And because the amount of league games was different in different times I looked at the correlation of assembled points to points available. And, the stunning fact is, this is at least our third best season in history! And if we 'll beat Spurs on Sunday, we 'll surpass our 87/88 team and only 78/79 team 'll remain better!! Rafa deserves enormous credit for that. But I also thought about how hard it will be for us to improve even further. And how many points will be needed next season to win the league? 90? 95? 100?
