Younger Lewa. Lewa in Dortmund wasn't playing with his back to the goal that often, he wasn't that much involved in the build-up. But he always knew where the goal was and also could make brilliant runs with the ball.
Van Horseface was just a poacher, he didn't have Haaland's pace and strength. May be a better comparison is Lewandowski, not todays Lewa but a younger one when he played for Dortmund.
I ve always liked West Ham. Produced some of the better English players, stopped Man U from winning the title in 1995 I think. But their current owners deserve relegation.
I didn't limit myself to "1 player from each European final" rule just our best players in terms of futsal ability) If you have such limit then its much harder to make a strong team.
https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/05/european-royalty-our-anfield-take-on-champions-league-edition-of-the-carrachallenge/ I ve picked Allison, Hansen, Xabi Alonso, Kenny and Mo. Would be a great futsal team too!
I am also pro-Leeds cause of Bielsa. They would be a great addition to Premier League. Should ve been promoted last year, were clearly one of the best 3 teams in the Championship but thats play-offs for you...
All things equal I would prefer Man U to win now. That seems strange for a non-local fan but its cause of Everton's new owner, Usmanov. 2 or 3 years ago they were irrelevant to me now they top the hated list.
And when Man U play Everton? I suspect the biggest brawl in the history of football would be ideal with both teams relegated as a result. But if that option is not available who would you like to win?
Some island in the Pacific or Atlantic Ocean without corona would be ideal. And for sure its a more realistic plan than playing in England in the current situation.
I ve always thought we could score at least 3 goals even without Mo and Bobby. But I was almost sure that Barca would score at least once too. Alisson in the first half made all the difference, he was the biggest hero of the night for me though they are all heroes.
I follow their results and if we are talking about Sociedad I know their current squad and how they play. Dundee Utd are too sh*t now to waste time watching them)
I repeat, Alan is probably my favourite player of the 80-s team. With nothing to do now cause of covid-19 I ve written a piece about Alan for the most popular Russian sports site. He was exceptional, ahead of his time in many aspects. But he wasn't flawless)
If we had stats like "packing" in the 80s Hansen would always be number one in those ratings. Thats for sure, not only in Liverpool team but in all Europe)
As a defender he wasn't flawless, there were several high-profile f*ck-ups. This one for ex (warch from 1:08) But also for us
I agree in general. But in defense sometimes experience of playing together is more important than individual qualities. Again, I am not saying that Fergie was right and World Cup showed that he was wrong. But I can understand his reasoning.
I think Hansen was an unbelievable "playmaker from the back" a great footballer. May be the greatest in Europe at the time in that aspect. But as a defender Lawro was better. And with Scotland playing rudimentary football, Hansen's qualities were not used and his deficiencies were exposed.
